Between the armour sets and the accessories, I have very little room for weapons.

I am rocking 117 pieces of armour (38 mage sets, 42 rogue sets and 37 warrior sets) which is not even all possible to craft armours. Combine this with accessories (I have 8 amulets, 11 belts and 67 rings for a total of 86) and 203 of the available slots are gone. Add 20 runes (5 of each, just in case something good drops) and a few armour upgrades and I have to salvage after every chest.

I'm not exactly hoarding here, and would really appreciate some help.

And for those thinking about the rings, that is 47 ability rings plus 2 each of Armor / Guard / Barrier Penetration, Critical Chance / Damage, Life Drain, Staggering, Sundering, Attack and Flanking. Some of those I am never likely to use, but I have them just in case.

Biower please`?

1. There should be no limit in MP. It makes no sense in any way, shape or form.

2.  If there has to be a limit, Armor should not count as it can't be salvaged.

3.  Fix the damn bug where you soft crash when crafting an armor at max inventory space.

That is all.

I have 145 armors, as I started to attempt to craft all sets when I started out in this game to reduce chance of armor drop in chests, but that data is probably out of date.  I did not bother crafting all armors for the new characters.

Here is what my item inventory looks like:

Longsword of the Dragon
Caliban

Thunderstrike

Dwarven Longsword*

Song of the Marshes

Moon Axe

Greatsword of the Dragon

Maul of the Dragon

Sulevin

Slayer*

Sundering*

Siege's End*

Refined Hossberg Twainer*

Axe of the Dragon Hunter

Boon of the Spoon

Fury of the Veil

Mindchill

Dagger of the Dragon
Blade of Red Birth

Agony

Lady Jocosta's Revenge

Bow of the Dragon

Cruel Redemption

Punched By The Maker

Longbow of the Griffon

Shield of the Dragon

Dwarven Proving Shield

March of the Everlasting

Superb Belt of Cold Resistance*

Superb Belt of Healing*

Superb Belt of Magic Defense*

Superb Belt of Ranged Defense

Superb Belt of Staggering

Superb Ring of Critical Chance

Superb Ring of Critical Damage

Superb Ring of Flanking

Superb Ring of Life Drain

Enhanced Ring of Attack

Enhanced Ring of Critical Chance*

Enhanced Ring of Critical Damage

Enhanced Chain Lightning Ring

Enhanced Charging Bull Ring*

Enhanced Longshot Ring

Enhanced Shield Bash Ring*

Enhanced Walking Bomb Ring

Superb Amulet of Constitution

Superb Amulet of Cunning

Superb Amulet of Willpower

Superb Stamina Amulet

I have not yet ever received the item limit error, but there are many items that I could probably relatively painlessly salvage (*) if need be.  So I am curious how many items people think they really need, and how many they actually are using with any regularity.

What do you gain by limiting hoarders?

Nothing... so why do you want to control them? Got a control freak issue?

Also, have you ever tried to buy 50 chests from the store now that you have all those items? It sucks big time. It's slow to salvage every item directly from the store, it's much faster to buy the chests in bulk, go to your inventory and mark them all before salvaging when you're done. I prefer playing, not managing my inventory. Am I a bad person for that?

I would honestly love to see some pics of everybody's complete inventory. I dont see how you can run out of space at all. That is unless your sitting on 100+ upgrades, while also sitting on 100's of weapons.

I understand what it is like to be a hoarder. I kept every unique weapon and armor I found in DA:O, DA2, insert other games here. Regardless of how good or bad it was. But I never kept any low lvl gear or sitting on tons mods/upgrades for weapons armor etc.

I think everybody crying about needing space, has way more items than they will ever need. Tell me, what is your reasoning for holding onto 5 griffon bows (as an example)?

Now if this was D3, I would totally get behind the need for more space. Only having 5 stash tabs for 6 classes, crafting mats, and gems is no where near enough.

After class weekends I usually have 50-75 upgrades. I also have 2 of most of the dragon weapons, 2-3 of most endgame purple weapons, lots of different daggers for offhand fun, 1 of every ability ring, 2 of every superb ring, 1 of every superb belt and necklace, all but 5 or 6 armors, and 4 of every type of superb rune.

Yes inventory space is a problem for me. I have to waste lvl 23 upgrades on low tier armor because I don't have the space to keep them.

I keep multiples of endgame weapons to set them up differently with different hilts/grips. For those with only rune slots, I like to have one of each flavor of rune for dragon hunting. I also collect to find max damage weapons.

I occasionally hit the item space cap, but it's not that bad. It's annoying when it happens though

Are you asking what other users gain?  In this case nothing, since I don't pay for the data storage.

Perhaps EA is in fact interested in how many items you think you need to store in your inventory.  I am curious for an answer to this as well since as far as I can tell there largely isn't a good reason to keep a couple of every single item.

I liked your post for the simple fact that you are the only one I have seen comment on why you need more space. Instead of just complaining about needing it. I am trying to build multiples of my dragon gear just so i have different rune types for dragon killing. Beyond that, having multiples of an item that are no longer BiS is a waste of space honestly.

Not to call you out yumi, but using you as an example. If somebody has 2 or 3 dragon bows each with a different rune for dragon killing, is completely understandable. But when that same person also has 3 griffon bows, 2 PBM, and 3 CR bows. Why not just salvage the few that are no longer BiS. No reason to keep multiple weapons of the same type that you most likely will not use again.

And to those that have such an item manifest. I challenge you to search your memory. Try and remember the last time you used something that was no longer BiS, or made a particular build viable.

If you did use such an item. Was it for fun just to play around? did you switch back to a better weapon and/or character build after that? Do you switch weapons constantly? Or do you just play your favorite build because that is what works best for you?

If you answer those questions honestly. You might find out for yourself that you dont need to keep that many variations of gear you dont use anymore.

Honestly, the inventory simply needs to be enough to keep what I consider the minimum:

  • All crafted armors
  • 1 copy of every ability ring
  • 2 copies of every Superb ring
  • 1 copy of every Superb amulet
  • 1 copy of every Superb belt
  • 2 or 3 copies of every best armor upgrades for each "stat" (%resist cold, %resist fire, +CON, etc)
  • 1 copy of every type of weapons for challenges
  • 3 to 5 copies of every Superb Runes

Then you'll get the "Don't annoy me factor":

  • 1 copy of every "special" weapons (Audacity, Boon of the Spoon, etc.)
  • Enough room to buy between 50 to 100 chests without getting kicked out of the store (because salvaging directly from the store would take too much time with that amount of chests)

I think it not too much to ask to at least cover the basis. Sadly, I do hit inventory limit with that setup. It's very sad I can't salvage armors because I don't need most of them. Bioware didn't give me the option to salvage those I don't need so the inventory limit should be set accordingly. The fact that most player doesn't reach that limit doesn't mean it should be where it is at the moment.

In any case, when inventory limit will cover my basic setup, I won't complain ever again for more space. Until then, I'll say it's still not enough...

Being that armor cannot be salvaged and that it is how characters are unlocked for usage, it should absolutely not count towards the item cap. Fix that, and then we're good. Although, now that  I think about it, an in-game inventory counter for MP would be nice to have. Then we'd know when to break stuff down before going on a spending spree.

I agree with the3rdRace completely- though I would like 2 slots for daggers!

I think it's also important to mention that I've collected quite a few additional items, specifically armor upgrades, because I would think/ hoping that they'll be adding additional armors, and content.

I'd like to be able to hold on to that stuff so that I'll be ready when/if they do.

This is definitely an issue for a lot of players, but I haven't seen any real answer on this for quite sometime which has me worried.

I know they're busy, but I hope they consider doing something soon. With rumored additional goodies incoming, not doing something about it is only going to make matters worse.

Plus it kinda sucks when you try to forge a dragon call, but can't because you have a full inventory. :(

Thanks for the like!

Here are the two main reasons:
1. Dagger rogue skills are calculated off main hand dagger damage, and many daggers have useful effects I can use offhand.

2. Variety. Sometimes I want my PBTM for meaty explosions, sometimes I want CR for Hunter mines. This get gets stale quickly, and build variety and weapon variety are most of what keeps me coming back. Sometimes I want Caliban for HOK, other times I like to electrocute mooks with thunderstrike. Also, being able to have varied weapons means I can suit my team better if we are maxing XP, for cross class combos and detonation priming.
Last item - dragon weapons are best in damage and have crit/attack/HoK, but they do not have masterwork effects and I find that very bothersome. I really enjoy my masterwork effect procs :)

That being said, I don't often have problems with inventory space, it just seems like a really stupid barrier to hit.

PS: I salvaged an Audacity dagger and have never gotten one since, and it really sticks in my craw.

I agree with most of your post. But what I find interesting. Is that you want to essentially double the inventory space to 1000 items. If 500 is truly the max like i heard it is. Just so you can open 50-100 chests in one go, essentially 250-500 items assuming you are buying large chests.
