Bioware, you simply must patch eyebrows, facial 'wetness' specular maps and hair specular. Trying to make a decent looking character is so difficult.

Black hair - this is the main offender. The specular map is so shiny, it just looks rediculous (and grey). Can we please, please get a patch?

Eyebrows - Honestly I doubt I even need to mention this. They are really quite shocking, bioware, how these past any form of quality control is beyond me. Did the same people that worked on great looking faces like Varric, Cassandra and Vivienne make these?

Face 'wetness' (specular mapping) - the shiny wet faces just look strange, granted, when its raining like in the mire it looks good, because it's raining. But please tone it down when it isn't?

Dark skin - dark skin tones suffer from the skin specular problem much more than pale, for obvious reasons - effort needs to be made to fix this. I suggest adding a few new complexions with much reduced wetness (or just reduce wetness across the board). The current selection of non-wet face complexions look haggered and old, there are no younger looking complexions without Hyperhidrosis.

It goes without saying that our character is supposed to be the star of the show... why is so little attention given to the quality of textures for him/her?

*Ridiculous

I wholeheartedly agree with all of this. Though, in my opinion, the shiny face complexions are still obvious on light skin tones, as well. Not nearly as obvious, but still obvious enough to be really bothersome.

One thing that annoys me the most is that there's no real gradient between young and old complexions. It's just gross, shiny, freaky, doll-smooth skin for young men, and wrinkly skin for older men. There's no complexion for someone who's trying to play a young adult, and not an infant or middle-aged or elderly man. The default complexion for men, for instance, while thankfully not shiny, is still too wrinkly to work for my Trevelyan, who is in his mid-twenties. My favorite complexion is shiny, but less obvious on lighter skin tones. However, there's a goddamn zit right on the tip of the nose? Why? The worst part is, the lighter the skin tone is, the more noticeable the zit is. I can't win. Want to be young? Use the creepy, gross, sopping wet skin. Don't want shiny/wet skin? Be old. But at least women, elves, and even qunari got better complexions to choose from. Totally fair.

Whoever made the hair, eyebrows, and facial hair needs to be sacked, plain and simple.

Black hair looks either blue or grey, especially obvious and terrible-looking if you look at the eyebrows, but it's not the worst offender of the hair color lot, IMO. The brown hair is for two reasons. One, it's frickin' green. Two, there is no dark brown option, and the "darkest" brown looks red, but still has the green eyebrows. Considering a great deal of DAI's lighting emphasizes on green, this makes it even worse.

Still, I'd never expect them to patch this or even release a DLC to make up for this. When confronted about the hideous, broken male elf anatomy, Bioware pretty much turned their noses up and acted like nothing was wrong. <_<
