I for one would buy a remastered Mass Effect Trilogy for next gen and I would love to get back into that multiplayer again in ME3. Now how many of you would get it? Just about everyone on my friends list would also get it. The idea of playing them in 1080p and 60fps is just... beautiful. I dont care about not leading into ME4, I just want to play those games again without the frame rate going insane and the game crashing, if any game deserves a remaster in resolution and frame rate, it is the Mass Effect Trilogy. Such fond and wonderful memories.

I like to have a remaster, but recently it was mentioned that a remaster will not happen

Only if they rebuilt them from scratch to fix the broken gameplay in ME1 and the broken story in ME2 and ME3.

Please make a Mass Effect Trilogy remaster with all the DLC available. Sub it out to someone. That way the Bioware team doesn't get over-utilized, and can work on new IP. Then we, the fans, get to replay our old favorites again, and port those saves into the world modification for ME:Andromeda. Its Win-Win. Bioware makes a ton of money with minimal effort, and we get what we want.

Maybe a few bugs might need fixing, but that might be doable. The Eve dying bug comes to mind. (Mostly because I restarted 3 times before I figured out why she was dying).

I would have bought it in a blink of an eye. My problem is that my gaming laptop broke, and I can't spare 800+ dollars for its repair, so remastered trilogy is one of the few ways for me to play this game once again. For the record, I would have bought it even with my laptop intact:) I also would like to see the whole trilogy in Playstation Now, since I have only PS4 and prefer to use game streaming rather than buying previous-gen console.

That's about as likely as to happen as Bioware releasing another super Extended Cut to the ME 3 ending.

In other words, keep dreaming.  We both will never get what we want.

I would also love a remaster or even a re-release on PS4 I'm missing my mass effect multiplayer fix!

As much as I hope there will be a remaster, unfortunately, I don't think Bioware will do it.  The Mass Effect Trilogy will go the way of the dinosaurs, and those of us that are loyal users and players will be shoved out into space.  I would buy it in a heartbeat, but obviously Bioware feels it is not worth their time.

So sad.  Kiss ME3 Multiplayer goodbye as well.  Not that they will listen, but it's not good business to put all your eggs in one basket.  A remastered trilogy would become a hot item when Andromeda comes out, especially for those who haven't played it.  But since there hasn't been an update to Multiplayer in years, they are effectively kissing us old folks goodbye.

Bad move.

Personally I love the franchise and was so enveloped in the characters and story I pretty much didn't notice any issues, I know chances are slim and there's no confirmation on this actually happening but I would be ecstatic if the original trilogy was brought out to the same console as Andromeda and any future ME games. One thing I reckon playstation should do in general if not adding mass effect and even the first two DA games to ps4 is they should be added to playstation TV, and I reckon play station tv should be made compatible with future consoles so you'll always have the old gen games with you into the future

Imagine those last resources of a dying company, the last strike of a company that is in a really bad streak on sales to try to recover from the crisis. In the game market, one of these resources are the Remasters/remakes.

Of course they can be made because of huge fan requests, but nowadays, after seeing Capcom (REmake, RE 0, DMC4SE, and maybe RE 2&3), Square (FF3, 4, 7, 8, 13 and 13-2 for Steam, and the full remake of FF7 for PS4), and other companies remastering old games after failing hard with the new ones, with some being made with more laziness than the ME3 ending, we can expect a remaster only if BW comes to a huge crisis in money (hardly), or if they become so big, that they can have a great spare of time and money to make a full remake, or a remaster (after Andromeda maybe, though I prefer the continuing investment on the Andromeda trilogy, and beyond).

We all love the old games, and remakes are a thing, they sell great. And some can be ama-fuckin-mazing, like the Homeworld collection. And its a great strategy to boost the company's sales, that can help it recover, or invest in new projects. And there are other kinds of strategy that uses the old games, like making an console exclusive release for PC, and vice versa, and etc.

If you want to see this happen, enough to research it, please go sign this petition. Maybe if we get enough people to sign, EA will listen. https://www.change.o...-one-ps4-amp-pc

I love the idea of Mass Effect with the most up-to-date graphics as much as anyone here... but I don't think the Mass Effect graphics are outdated enough to warrant a remake yet. Don't get me wrong... I definitely want a Mass Effect trilogy remake... but it seems too soon right now for that. If they do a remake right now, it will work in 1080p... ok.... but 4K is right around the corner. Shouldn't we at least wait for 4K before asking for a remake?

Are you going to want ANOTHER remake for 4K? I doubt Bioware will offer you two remakes. The Mass Effect games already work in 1080p anyway so I'm not sure what you guys are talking about when you say you want a 1080p remake. Pretty sure my ME1 was played in 1080p, as were all subsequent games.

What we need is a 4K or 8K remake... or perhaps better yet, a remake for the VR devices that are starting to come out like the Occulus Rift.

Not every remaster is pursued because a company is in dire straights; it can also build brand awareness. The ps4 version of last of us was probably made to capitalize on the people who shifted platforms during the console wars, not to salvage a dying company. They could certainly do the same thing here

I gave my 360 (along with the trilogy) to an ex and only have a ps4. Not only is the series not available to me now in any form, when I originally played I refused to buy DLC when still freshly frustrated over the ending controversy. Now it's been enough time I'd love to actually pay full price for a GOTY edition but there's not even a copy on PSNow.

You act like the graphics don't need an update because they're frickin' pretty but bioware could improve the rendering pipeline so textures aren't missing/late in certain scenarios. They could also use the opportunity to invest in a compelling final conversation with the catalyst and replace its poorly received aesthetic with an older avatar and more viable voice actor. 5 minutes of additional content could make that entire sequence work, be engaging, and better explain why it's even capable of the synthesis ending (whose idea I find intriguing but inescapably a non sequitur). There are several obvious ways to portray that conversation and maintain a sense of agency. Make the AI cunning!

Just to be fair I don't think a fleshed out ending is required to enjoy any of it (already been 3 years). But that gesture would show enough integrity that even in faltering could dissolve controversy that might otherwise cloud the PR environment of a second release.

Either way I think it would sell successfully and build brand awareness. Def be on the preorder list. Worth pointing out though... they could easily prefer to play heavily on the advantages of a soft reboot. The change in setting/tone for Andromeda has me less ambivalent than I might have been for a continuation of the shephard arc knowing Mac Walters is still fully at the helm.

what´s wrong with the current ones? I don´t need a "remastered" game to be able to enjoy it ..and besides it won´t happen anyway.

I don't necessarily need a remaster, but it'd be nice if they'd release a complete edition of the game that included all DLC and not try to nickel and dime me for each one.  Besides, it doesn't look like PC were ever mentioned for a remaster and I don't own a xbone or PS4.

Yes, more than a remaster, at the VERY least, we still need a "complete" edition, all content included.

The fact this has not been done yet is one of those things that keeps me up at night. I still can't believe it hasn't been done.

If Bioware wants to touch it up along the way, by all means... but at the very least, the trilogy needs to be re-released with everything included. Right now, it's like a great book missing some of its best and most important chapters, unless you pay a rather exorbitant premium for the missing content.

I would absolutely buy a remaster. I barely use my 360 nowadays, and the only reason I keep it is to eventually revisit Mass Effect, which I haven't played since just after the Leviathan DLC dropped.

I beg for 2 things though, concerning Mass Effect 3. Include ALL DLC not a single item excluded. And add the Collector weapons to single player. How and why they were excluded in the first place is beyond me. There was no reason for that.

Now concerning Mass Effect 2, the only thing I could think that would be a nice change, is weapon selection. Being a soldier gave access to all weapon groups, which also meant equipping ALL of them in every mission. It's a little much, and sometimes just looked ridiculous. I would suggest adding the weapon selection like Mass Effect 3. Being able  to equip all, or just one weapon on a mission. All I really need is 2 weapons. A rifle and pistol, or SMG.

Concerning the last paragraph, a broader selection of weapons in ME2 would be nice as well.

Maybe add stuff that didn't make the initial cut due to time if possible.

Just getting the game re-released with all content is a large enough request, but ME2 in particular had SO much content not just cut but also locked behind digital walls due to the 2-disc limitations of the Xbox 360.

I would ADORE a version of the game that lets you freely recruit all the party members in whatever order you want, as the original design was for and what PC modders can do. I want to take Legion onto Tali's ship. I want to bring Samara on the Archangel mission. All the dialogue was recorded, all the cutscenes are there; you just can't access them on consoles, but you can on PC with some mods.

That was nearly double or triple the amount of options players would have, and it's obviously what the original plan was. Unlike the other changes, this one has already been done by fans on PC; it would be great to see Bioware themselves realize their original vision with an official update, one not held back by the original 360's limitations.

That's mostly what I meant, but you have to admit, a few more weapon options wouldn't go astray.

What weapons were cut from ME2? Open recruitment would undoubtedly be the most attractive feature for a ME2 remaster. That gets my vote.
