What weapons were cut from ME2?

To my knowledge none, but the game could do with some more options.

You get the option of three or four at most, not counting heavy weapons, and that's with all the DLC.

Compare that to Mass Effect 3's massive and varied arsenal and to a lesser extent the original's stat and reskin approach, coupled with the extensive mods you could mix and match.

Mass Effect 2 might've stramlined the combat, but it also took out a lot of variety of the other two games.

ME3's arsenal is huge. Wouldn't mind them adding those in to prior games (or even ME3's single player).

I don't want to be unreasonable when asking for a re-released of the series. Would I appreciate it? Greatly. But at this point, just having all the content included with better performance and visuals would already be enough.

If they went the extra mile and did open recruitment in ME2 or additional weapons and armors for the campaigns, I'd be over the moon though.

Well, I'm not an expert in video game mechanics and tech details. But since Mass Effect 2 and 3 use the same engine, is it actually possible for weapons in 3 to be in 2?

It can still happen. The fans certainly want it and easy and quick money is hard to turn down.

Peter Moore's argument makes little sense too. I imagine they'd hire a studio like Bluepoint, a studio that specializes in remasters, to remaster the game. Nobody expects Bioware to personally handle it.

And EA is the same company that literally repackaged FIFA games with no changes once. They're in no position to claim the high road or to talk of running out of ideas.

That's like saying Sony is out of ideas because they released Uncharted Collection, or Mircosoft is out of ideas because of Halo Master Chief Collection, or Disney is out of ideas every single time they remaster their movies for Blu-Ray for a new and old audience to enjoy.

Keep asking for this. None of their reasons for not doing it hold any water.

I'm hopping they announce it on N7 day, although I'm trying not to get my hopes up. A remaster of the original tryilogy with all the DLC included would be awesome. Also if remasters aren't being planned for the trilogy it would make me wonder why they were asking on NeoGaf what players would want in a remastered trilogy .

They could charge a rediculous amount for a remaster and I would save up for it. I'm in love with this universe and I want to share it with my girlfriend. The only thing holding her back is she can't get past the 1st game. So many people want this for many different reasons, we would all throw money at it so what's the point of not doing it? It was mentioned that EA practically copied and pasted their Fifa, and was also mentioned that saying that it's like they're out of ideas is like saying that Disney ran out of ideas just because they make blue ray remasters. We're begging you to do this and you would make a lot of money from it if you did it right. Why is there even a hesitation?

Folks over at NeoGAF asking about this as well.

http://www.neogaf.co...d.php?t=1187747

For pity's sake, EA. People are STILL asking for this. They are STILL saying they want this. They are STILL telling you that they will pay for the chance to play this great trilogy on modern hardware.

And I'm right there with them. There absolutely is a demand for this. Do the sensible thing and meet that demand and make us all happy.

You'll earn our eternal gratitude and appreciation.

Also our money. You'll earn our money. Lots of money.

... I would like to give you my money.

I for one would buy a remastered Mass Effect Trilogy for next gen and I would love to get back into that multiplayer again in ME3. Now how many of you would get it? Just about everyone on my friends list would also get it. The idea of playing them in 1080p and 60fps is just... beautiful. I dont care about not leading into ME4, I just want to play those games again without the frame rate going insane and the game crashing, if any game deserves a remaster in resolution and frame rate, it is the Mass Effect Trilogy. Such fond and wonderful memories.

OMFG this would be awesome. But there is only slight problem with this. XBOXONE backward compatiblity already allow to play the Mass Effect on XBOXONE. How come a Trilogy Remastered and backward compatibility in the same generation  ?

I would like to have a remastered version for the  ps4 since I will be getting one next week.

Would folks pay $99.99 for a remastered version that includes all 3 games, all dlc, all weapon and armor packs? I know I would.

It didn't stop remasters of PS2 games coming to PS3 or remasters of certain Xbox games coming to Xbox 360, despite the fact there were PS3 and Xbox 360 systems capable of playing the originals.

So while some PS3s could already play Final Fantasy X and Kingdom Hearts and Shadow of the Colossus, the remasters were optimized for the new hardware and were worth it even if you could play the originals. And I enjoyed playing the original Doom 3 and the remastered Doom 3: BFG edition on my 360.

Beyond that, a lot of the audience for remasters are for those that missed out on it the first time. We tend to forget, a game like Mass Effect 1 came out over TEN YEARS AGO. There's a whole new generation of players playing games now that wasn't gaming when it initially released - or possibly even born - and a decade later, especially with Andromeda coming out, they might want to know where it all started.
