It's description read:

"... Each consecutive hit with a bow attack does progressively more damage to the target. Damage Bonus: 5%; Bonus Duration: 10 Seconds ..."

Now I'm wondering if this means:

1) Attacking one mob, my first shot does 100%, my second does 105%, third 110%, fourth 115% with no ceiling on the buff.

2) As above, but the % buff reached 10 seconds after the first shot will not be increased upon.

3) The second shot does 105%, as does the third, the fourth, and so on.

Interesting thing, though not entirely on topic. That passive works for daggers too... Not even kidding, it does. It makes it so each consecutive hit with daggers always does increasing damage. Not that it's worth getting that far into archery if you're a dual wielder...

I believe points 1 and 2 are accurate, but I could be wrong. The reason there is no limit is because they expire after 10 seconds, so I suppose the limit would be around 150% if you kept firing, as bows shoot around once per second.

Yes, and it doesn't stop there! Almost every passive works with any weapons. I had a lot of fun using the Dagger passives as an Archer, and the same applies to Warriors, which is great, because you could have Turn the Bolt with a 2-hander.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure "consecutive hit" means against the same target. If you switch targets, you reset the buff. So not a "mob", but a single enemy within the mob.

It's great when used in conjunction with Flask of Lightning on a Tempest Archer and auto attacks.

Not sure if it applies with Leaping Shot against a dragon or giant, where multiple hits may occur. Probably not.

I think (2) is closest, but I'd state it as, "first is 100%, second is 105%, third is 110%, until 10 seconds elapses or target is changed, then back to 100%".

Also, it might not be +5%. It might be x1.05. So, "First is 100%, second is 105%, third is 110.25%, fourth is 115.7625%, etc."

I think that's true, but I don't think merely switching targets nulls the effect; you just start at 100% again for the new target. In other words, if you were to hit one target a few times, then another once, then back to the first target, you would still have a bonus against that target (unless you waited 10 seconds).

This is more or less how I assumed it worked.  Stacks for 10s against a single target.  I did not really test it extensively though.

Also, thought it did work for Leaping Shot.

As for the math, I have no idea where it adds, although my guess would be adding to "damage multiplier."
