Challenges?

Learning the game in the early days was challenging and engaging. Getting through perilous without stats or rare equipment or people to carry you was challenging and what held many of us in the game. It was not that we could beat it easily, but that we could fail.
I'd like to offer a few suggestions:
Spawn a few revenants on all waves. Give us a nug hunt with nugs appearing only in the first 10 seconds of wave five. The whole party has to play alchemists, or virtuosos, or whichever. Or, in keeping with the standard theme, put 5 druffalo on wave five and they all need to be killed with an ax. Level 7 ax even. Make it fun.
And if we fail bring back the three bosses and throw in a banshee for good measure.
These silly challenges would be tolerable if regular new material would be forthcoming, but as it is the game is falling flat. What keeps me coming back at this point is a community of people I enjoy playing with, and we are just waiting for something better to come along.

Pretty much agree with all this but adding some Praetorians in addition to the Banshees might be nice.

For the love of it all, could someone please think up an actual challenge? By my count I'm now on my third round of ax kills, great ax kills, stave kills, beast hunts, demon hunts, etc... What is the point? And all this with the same characters, on the same maps, with the same difficulty.

it's a lot easier when you just give up and stop caring. Just play it now until something comes along and just say "never again" I was frustrated for a while until I just stopped caring.
Of course everything you say is right...yes we got ripped off....yes *insert whatever negative thing here*. It's too late to change 90% of it now. Just move on from the series after this game. I'm not being a smart ass, I'm being honest. Theres a lot of stuff to be frustrated about and there is no end to it and nothing you can do. We got dumped on end of.

perhaps the real challenges begin starting at 07/07 (perhaps) just wait a little longer you will be surprised or with a broken heart ![]()

the devs keep their secret until the last second before the twitch (not confirmed anything) but something tells me they have something to challenge us (after the last dlc was launched two months ago 05/05 something tells me they like Tuesdays and round dates
