Have technical issues ever derailed a MP match for you? You know, right in the middle of a pizza delivery, power goes out in the house. Or what I experienced a couple of times lately, is my speakers started making a loud hissing sound. When I'd plug in the headphones, there was nothing wrong. So, it sounded great through my headphones, but then it sounded like **** out front. What could cause this hissing sound?

And has anything similar happened to you? For instance, the internet fails you in some way. Origin goes to check for updates in the middle of the game. Etc.

Cheers

My power cut out half way through a Vancouver/Cerberus/Gold match. It was going so well. That was the match where I accidentally learnt how awesome the BatSol is with an Avenger.

When my turtle beach headset batteries die during a wave instead of in-between. It's always a disaster until I get the batteries changed, as I lose all awareness of my surroundings that I rely way too much on.

During a Gold solo against the Rippaz my batteries died in my headphones, while carrying a pizza on W10. I had no idea what's going on around me, but I finished it and extracted (pats himself on the back).

I've had a whole myriad of technical issues, from power outages to the cat deciding he's going to just sit on the controller while I'm holding it.

The weirdest one, though was on Firebase Jade.

What happened was the sounds got... reversed. Somehow the ambient noise was in the foreground, and the battle sounds were in the background. Let me tell you, those quiet and gentle waterfalls and bird calls are incredibly harsh when they're super-loud. It was painful. I think I actually had to mute the stereo around wave 6, which meant I couldn't hear where anyone was, and since this was a gold solo against The Sync-Kill Squad, it did not go well.

Most of my solo attempts fail just after completing the wave 10 objective, with "You have lost connection to the ME3 servers". Or maybe it just feels that way.

One time during a gold match, I learned that my basement was flooding during w9. I still hung on until extraction.

Sounds like a duration performance issue.

Connection issues galore! ME3 is the only game that has continually frustrated me to no end. Absolutely horrendous netcode.

Where I currently live, the internet cable switches off at midnight.  There is a (much less reliable) wireless service that stays on all night, but it doesnt transfer over automatically.

So that''s pretty annoying.

Does a cat trying to make itself comfortable on my keyboard count as a "technical issue"?

Power outages, disconnected internet, background applications minimizing the game and so on, I've had it all. The worst experience so far was when my HDD became full while recording a platinum solo and caused my FPS to drop to 2-5, it had been going smoothly up until that point but I found it unplayable after that and so had to quit. It could have been my first successful plat solo but I'll never know now. It was a valuable lesson though, now I always make sure there is enough room to record before attempting anything.

Losing connection seems to be a huge problem, yeah. One time, my antivirus managed to minimalize the game which caused a crash.

What I would still like to know, is what causes these strange and loud hissing sounds from my speakers :S

My old PC just randomly froze at times. Not just during ME3, but totally random. That was an awful time, during which I never hosted a game for obvious reasons.

I usually hear folks with faulty mics produce this very annoying hiss or interference noise. Some folks can't figure out how to fix it when I tell them about this issue, so I proceed to priority ignore (I mute them).

One time during a gold match, I learned that my basement was flooding during w9. I still hung on until extraction.

Coincidentally, also during a gold match, my wife's "basement" was flooding too, also during w9.  I also hung on until extraction, but it was not a wise choice.  I had no chance of areola bombardment for a while.

Rippaz 1: Jack 0

Another time, I read a sinful thread on here in between w9 & w10, and my eyes wouldn't stop vomiting.  We failed that mission, and I lost 3 people on my friends list.  I don't blame them because I read the thread out loud over the mic.

Better than losing power when installing a console update. I hear that completely destroys the console.

I'm pretty sure you can reinstall it from scratch with a USB stick.
