I usually like buying things online, because I don't like going out in public and stuff and I would think this game would be on steam or atleast Origin, but no. So I have no idea where I could buy it but I really want to play it.

It's still available from GoG. Sometimes they have it on sale.

Best version is on GOG, with all expansions (including Mysteries of Westgate) included, and fully patched to the final version.

do you know how often it goes on sale and if it's worth waiting or just buying it at full price?

There's a thread on the topic here. It sounds like maybe every few months or so. At $25 base cost though, it's probably not worth the wait if you really want to play it.

Well, you just missed the summer sale.  There's also a winter holiday sale.  At other times, it's randomly included in package sales.  D&D-themed sales happen occasionally.
