By the end, unlocked characters were getting names like Quma for the Quarian Male, or Qufe for the Quarian female.

My imagination was never great. For eg, my human male infiltrator is known as aaaaaaaa and the female bbbbbbbb. The rest of the class also follow this rather complicated formula.

The only exception is the TGI, I call him -21.
Got the idea when something strange happened his powers and screwed all his points up and stuff. Weird.

I give them names that suit their build and my tactics when playing as them, here are my favourites...

 

Juggy: Jug Norris

TSol: Pew Pew x9001

TSent: Jack (of all trades)

Krosol: Run

Paladin: (Cool story) Bro

Destroyer: RPGary

Shadow: Nice Phantom

Vorcha Engineer: burny stop man

They're named after characters, with the exception of my geth who are Legion, Geth, Geth, and We Are All Geth (although I guess they are character names technically).

I tried to give them funny names, I mean I really tried, but I just couldn't do it. It felt...dirty. Like I was cheating on ME3.

The first Jet Pack Turian I spec'ed (the Havoc) is named Zed

Well, since I'm Patrick Bateman all of mine are named after high end Italian and French bespoke tailors and fashion labels.

Martorana, Barbera, Altolini, Rossini, Trussardi, Caruso, Cerruti, Kiton, Brioni, Cantarelli, Valentino, Sartoriale, Zegna - just to name a few, guessing here most of you never heard of them though.....

they get creative names like QFE, HFI, AIU, Fat Turian, aSARI (capslock got stuck, too lazy to change it), SI, male humans all get my husbando's name, the turian cabal is named after me, my GI is named Jeff for no real reason

 

oh and my drell adept is orange with black stripes, named him Tiger

Some have the same names as their characters. e.g. Fury is named Fury, Paladin is named paladin, Saboteur is named Saboturian, etc.

 

Some are based on the playstyle - Drellguard is named Tornado, Destroyer is named T5-V Turret, Cabal is named Venom, HFE is named Maya (Maya in Sanskrit means magic), etc.

 

Geth characters are named ______ unit, except the engineer who is named Machinist.

 

A few are named after SP characters - KroSol is named Grunt, Drell adept is named Thane

 

Only one of my characters has a (semi-)creative name - the awakened collector. He is a bug and so, I named the character A. Colli.

and I just specced the Vanilla Male Human soldier yesterday All Red colors named GI Ivan

 

my pink Krogan Sentinel is named Fluffy

 

and my Juggernaut is named Trinitron

 

The Drell Vanguard I haven't played much is creatively named "Your Name Here"

Some more memorable ones for me after I stopped caring:

Krolord: Brian Blessed

GE and GI: Hal and Arnie

The male Quarians and the Geth Soldier: Li'star, Ri'mmar, Ka'at and Kry'ten

Volus: Stinky, Smelly, Ohgodwhy and Molething

Juggy and the AIU: Bender and Hookerbot (not necessarily in that order)

Vanilla vanguard: Suicidal sam.

 

Also, one of the Batarians is named after a friend from uni who had a similar lack of a chin.

Depends on my mood, style, reference of the time.

 

Some examples:

 

Krogan soldier: Leeroy Jenkins (I had just finally seen that video when I first unlocked him and went for a melee build)

 

Volus Adept; Started off as "uh" because I wasn't sure. After the first match he became "breatherdamaged" as well as getting a brown color scheme to define I useful I felt

 

Shadow; Checkyaeyes because I kept (and continue) to routinely either hit SS when I didn't mean to or the game switches my target

When you hang out with people who create and manage these brands, you realize how little there is to them apart from amazing marketing. And if you've opened up a Panerai and discovered that the engineering inside is pretty ordinary, you'll appreciate how effective Richemont is at adding valuable mystique to the watches, but that it doesn't make them special in terms of the ding an zich.

Most are named generically (Alliance Marine, Eclipse Merc, Council Spectre, etc) but a few of my favorites get their own names. These are usually more like codenames so that i dont have to go on a lore binge to figure out appropriate racial naming schemes. Turian Saboteur Spectre is Priest, Cerberus Phantom is Persephone, Salarian STG Engineer is Tesla, etc

That is totally true Mark, at least for the largest most well known brands like Gucci, Prada, Versace etc.

 

But some brands like Canali and Corneliani (to name only a few) are all about quality and style - canvassed Constructions and the highest quality fabrics (the ones mentioned above mainly use fused Constructions, which is definately inferior to a canvassed Construction).

 

It's a bit like ME3MP - you have your soul less flashy TGIs (Gucci) and your amazing QFE (Canali). Don't make much sense, but I have to write something MP related to avoid the Wrath of the mods....
