I think we should have more options. Gay, Bi, trans, threesomes, foursomes. any race, isnt it racist to hold out some races? What if I fall in love with a krogan character?
In reality dont all romances just end up like a porn scene?
There seems to be a lot of discussion about romance options, what would be your perfect romance?

It would be hard to include all those in one game. I mean if you are going to have romance with all alien races in the game (and there probaply is many), three and foursomes etc. Would take resources from other stuff and probaply would make romances mostly flings or sth light like in Skyrim where you didn't have much romance content.
Also no to the last one. It isn't porn in ME. In ME3 my Shepard's romance "ended" with her and Kaidan saying goodbye to each other and kissing while they went to final war together, war where only one survived in the end. That doesn't sound like porn to me ^^

I'm still disappointed that there wasn't an option for a MMF in the original trilogy, i wanted my femshep to be part of a chocolate and vanilla swirl with Kaidan and Jacob.

I'm here for the story, not to get my private parts jiggled or my identity noticed by Bioware-Senpai. . .that's the term right? Senpai? Like Sensei? I don't know, I'm sure its Japanese though. I'm getting sidetracked.
I want a Romance that means something; something that doesn't take three conversations and a side quest for the bang train to pull into the station. Something with context, depth, and true emotion. I want this to be built up over time across multiple games, to make that final moment worth something to the characters and to the player, who saw it through to the end.
I'm playing through Mass Effect One finally, and I'm just sitting here going 'Since when did we flirt Ashley, why are you asking for a foot massage what is this? I am your commanding officer!' . . .the same thing happened when I entered into the series in ME2 when I accidentally romanced Jack: 'Hey how's it going! I was dedicated and now we're best friends why are you staring me like that? JACK NO PLEASE DON'T TOUCH ME THERE I JUST WANTED TO BE FRIENDS!' ![]()
. . .What's up with that? Humans (and most of our alien species) are obviously sexual creatures, and that element should be preserved for those seeking it in their games (look at the options in Dragon Age: Origins. . .Nug pile, anyone?) but romance. . .? Actual, legitimate romance? That seems to have fallen to the wayside of late and in truth I do not see it being something of note now that I'm playing the series from its true beginning. ![]()
In conclusion: Make it something that matters to the characters and to the player. Make it in a way that makes us feel something. Do not make it to pander to sexualities, identities, inclusiveness, and diversity. Make it good, that is all that matters in a story. If that means there is only a single bi-sexual romance option? So be it. If you can't come up with a good romantic sub-plot for a character, don't just tack one on or add one to an old character later on. Zealots be damned, and all that. If can manage to develop an interesting sub-plot for multiple characters that each span multiple games? So be it. If it only lasts for a single game? Make it count, and do the story proud.
