I have played 1300 hours and am starting to get more and more URs on X now.

Would you consider the timeframe Bioware has chosen to be justified?


I am inclined to say: yes


Although it will be a new experience for me soon now
to play without ANY grinding aspect.

I've noticed that too. Like there's a hidden algorithm where the store get feed up with you for not having maxed manifest in so many hours in already and just starts handing them out of pity like candy. Happened to me too. Got my last 10 URs in like within 10 Gold games or something crazy like that. The last two packs were even two double back to back URs (4 URs).

As i get closer I seem to get Ultra Rares more often (or just don't pay attention because of how many I have maxed)

Regardless of how good ME:A MP is, there's no way in hell I'm gonna put so much time into it as I did with this game.

So I'd rather see them tweaking the time it takes to build a full manifest. By a lot.

Otherwise I'm just gonna hax it...

On my new account, it took me a little less than 200 hours to max all rare items. I've already put in another 100 hours just focusing on URs, with little luck. If it's going to take another 700 hours to fully max because of how the RNG works, I might as well go back to my old account

I'm going to miss that N7 120 though

There are players who maxed in 500-600 hrs, and others took almost 2000.

1) lucky

2) gud at platinum

3) a grill

 

to max fast.

I'm maxing an alt-account now myself.  I'm curious to see how long it takes me as I'm able to play plat exclusively now.  I'm currently @ 144 hours and still have quite a way to go.  We shall see how good my luck is.

 

Also, just as a note... I get that the grind is not appealing to some.  Since this is not a PvP game, I have no problems w/people who hack their manifest.

If it were so bad, many wouldn't of started a new manifest. Heck, some only play because of the store. And stop once it's over.

It takes far too long to max.  I quit because I felt like I was grinding through 100's of plat games just for the money.  There's no enjoyment in playing that way. I would have played just as long, and had more fun, if the drop rate was half what it is today.

 

Unfortunately, I would bet the store will be mostly the same in the new game...

if it weren't so bad the majority of players wouldn't have quit before 30 hours. Referencing a few people on the forums is ridiculous compared to the many others who never came here because they got frustrated and quit. All of my friends who stopped playing did so because of the store. I don't care how you spin it, far more people quit because of the store than stuck around for it.
