Or at least the dwarven rogue I played as. I was not very interested in Dwarves or dual-wielding for that matter. But I made a older looking dwarf with a bit of grey hair and added a criminalistic element to his personality due to being a Carta surfacer and it feels very fresh. I did not take dwarves as being fast moving and dual-wielding as I always played two-handed in Origins.

Even the Noble Dwarf Audecan I made a long time won a place in my heart and I use as my default Warden over my human noble warden. Dual-wielding Dwarves are pretty awesome.

I always liked dwarves as rogues, but I know the warrior image is a bit more obvious. Especially liked it as female with Cocky voice in DAO (it's ME's Jack). You have some good NPC examples though. I'm surprised it never clicked for you. Jarvia, Bartrand, Sigrun....

My main problem here (DAI) is coming up with a good story for a Carta character. But the idea itself is cool. I'd like to play one in a more seedy or secular setting.. and not a spiritual or magical one.

Bartrand was the first image that came in to my mind. I was mostly interested in roleplaying humans and Qunari, so I never gave much thought to the dwarves. I'm trying to roleplay the Dwarf coming from a gritty background and somewhat embracing the Inquisition.

I think figuring out the different ways to adapt that background has been popular with a lot of people who like playing dwarves.

BTW, there's a Dwarf thread already that's a good place to find others who like them... http://forum.bioware...thread/page-243

Dwarves make good rogues. After all, they're tiny. Tiny means less noticeable. Less noticeable means easier stealth. Easier stealth is good.

We're nice and cool people. I usually plan my background on my class, which is usually always an archer. I'm glad that they made the dwarf a Carta member.
