The most important thing for me to be revealed by BioWare after E3 2015 is...

... the official "Shepard" face of the new protagonist, both male and female version.

I really want to see what will they come up with this time:

- will they hire another real-life model to have a recognizable face

or

- they will not bother and just slap sufficiently appealing generic face to have on "covers" for the game?

I really don't think we'll get one. I suspect that the protagonist will be presented in whatever the team whips up to showcase the dialogue and some brief story stuff, but the actual ads will likely just involve a helmeted character model, for both the N7 dude and our protagonist. It seems to me that even the earliest bits of footage for the first Mass Effect game showed off the grizzled bro that eventually became VanderShep, but they've avoided this here.

Why does everyone name the N7 dude and the protagonist as two separate entities? I'm pretty sure the N7 dude is the protagonist

BioWare stated, that this N7 dude is not the player character.

Bioware confirmed the man we see in the trailer is not the protagonist.

Showing a helmeted character is a nice workaround, that way they don't need to bother with "official" character looks.

Then again, Shepard is an iconic character, so BioWare might want to continue with the "iconic" feel and introduce new recognizable character.

Bioware stated... oh wait...

But yea, they said that you will play a male or female character, that is NOT the one you see in the trailer.

That aside, the look of the protagonist is one of the very, VERY few things about ME:A that i don't care a pile of varrenpoo about.

When i set my first step on the new world, he will look very similar to the guy that you can see in my userpic anyway.

PS: I sincere expect, no matter in which age-range they want the protagonist to be, that they spare me a cheesy character editor like in SWTOR where i had to look as if start to shave my babyface in 5 years, no matter what i did ((especially for they had other faces 6 month before release, that they discarded)). A few scars and a few wrinkles as an option, please.

For the only thing i liked about DA:I was the character editor, i am not concerned too much about that.

Just let the SWTOR-People locked in their cage and never let some of them into the dev-team of ME:A, please.

I maybe look like one... and be heavily tatooeed... and listen mostly to metal...

BUT...

i am different... from everything... i never got a bike...

PS: To not jump too much on the off-topic-train.

I think the protagonist will be similar to the last one.

Some kind of a-little-rougher-than-Brad-Pitt guy.

Maybe they introduce a male and a female this time, that would be half-way interesting.

Personally i like the double of Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett in the Robin Hood Movie.

They would make great shepar... uuuhhhmmmm.... protagonist-patterns.

I would welcome Christian Bale type of protagonist, but truth is they have a huge set of actors/models to choose from.

While I don't like her Looks too much, what I like very much about your Suggestion is that they don't choose a white Person as the "default" Face this Time. Someone Asian or Black or Arabic or anything else really would be very much preferred, at least by me.

Not really bothered about the race, seeing as Bioware seems to be filled with mostly white employees, however I think Serena Williams is the perfect model for Andromeda.

Sounds cool to me.

Some company should get rid of stereotypes at advertisements and i think Bioware has courage to do that.

No offense to her but that is also better that she's not our average sexy girl out there.

PS: No offence to her? Like she could be reading this :P *waves to Serena*

I am not sure if we will get to see what a default look for Shepard will be in any official capacity unless it is noticed during a gameplay presentation and of course things can always change, but they didn't do it with Dragon Age: Inquisition they always had a helmet on of the back of a character.  I have seen several threads similar to what I saw for Dragon Age as well when people didn't like having the boxart for the character be set in stone when there is the option to completely create your character from scratch or having a male character featured so predominately when there is the option to play a female character too.

As if having a helmented character and having an iconic character are two mutually exclusive things.

I vote that the main character (m/f) be based off of some unknown human model.

I'm hoping for "fresh" flesh.

P.S. Don't know what you mean by that, she is wildly popular for whatever reason. :) http://www.tennisnow...d-Female-A.aspx

Bioware confirmed the man we see in the trailer is not the protagonist.

To me, that's obvious marketing bla bla to say "you get to create your own" / "This guy is clearly male, but your hero could be female" / "What happens in the trailer won't happen in the game as it is presented".

I find it quite a long shot to go from such a simple statement to "there will be two central characters".

If there is, there better be some goddamn SP coop.

The Edmonton team that made the ME trilogy is the true talent of Bioware. The Edmonton team that makes DA isn't, and the Montreal team so far, hasn't really proven themselves either. I wouldn't be surprised if they just made a "whatever" face like in DA:I for this as well, but no harm done since you can make faces look so good and humanlike in DA:I.

Then again what is the worst case scenario, if the title character will be presented without the helmet on the game's cover?...
