Usually when I PUGing with one of my friends I use Origin Voice chat so I'm not broadcasting to the whole lobby.

However it has been brought to my attention that sometimes I am talking to the whole lobby not just her.

I'm set to PTT in DAMP but voice activated in Origin.

However I have found the trigger.

Noisy PUG arrives and gets muted.

Muting someone in game causes the mic in-game PTT to become permanently live.

I ran into someone the other day arguing with his/her significant other about their eating habits. Pretty funny actually. The next game I had an angry man. Kept screaming and cussing as loud as he could because he was getting killed. Guess what, perilous is difficult sometimes. ☺ Keep on broadcasting fellow players. I need entertainment.

Muting another player and having your mic going live as a consequence is a bug which has been there since the Push-to-talk feature was added. Another bug is, whenever a person is in the process of joining the lobby, everyone's mics go live. Pretty annoying when you are trying to have a private conversation, even using a dedicated software only for it.

I've noticed this too - drove me crazy... I ended up turning off voice chat in game completely because I couldn't figure out how a computer with no mic except the headset mic (with hardware switch turned off) could be broadcasting my voice...

But hey, this week I've had hard audio crashes where the entire game audio just dies with a loud squeeky pop (ouch). Only a reload of the game (and sometimes a full reboot of the PC) fixes it. And this week has been the first week in a long time when I've had Origin chat windows open.

We had the problem recently that only the host could hear each of us, but we couldn't hear each other. It was driving him crazy, because there were several people talking at the same time. I prefer to use TS or simply the Origin chat.

I hear a audio pop when you join the game after a dc too

Please note that noisy pug that needs to be muted DOES NOT apply to Dat Voice

I have hard audio crashes after a popping sound pretty often, virtually everynight. It seems to be a pretty rare bug for most people, but it is always good to know I am not the only one, lol.

I have the no audio bug from time to time as well. I usually can fix it without a restart by doing options -> audio -> dynamic range mode -> change it to something else, then change it back.

I get that on a regular basis but strawbs lost all sound even windows system sounds which needed a full reboot

It's so annoying, but I suppose it's a leftover from the console VoIP that they simply jury rigged to include push-to-talk on PC.

It's likely why there's so many bugs with it.

They should simply license the addon from the Battlefield franchise, since it's already in EA's possession.

Thanks, I get this bug every few nights so I'll try this next time! This would be so much better than having to restart.

yeh that one time was really nuts, but yesterday it was just the game sounds that died, which I guess is an improvement!

Yeah, I have experienced that, and this fix works for me as well.

This is with a Realtek ALC892 using their drivers.

It's because they are listening to you as you play.
