I am ok with the human reaper fight at the end of ME 2.
What are you weirdest, most outlandish opinions about the Mass Effect Series?

The Mass Effect trilogy's main plot was just awful. Everything else was superb by comparison.

- I liked the Adept playstyle in ME2 much more than ME3.
- The way Ashley acted in ME2 and ME3 pre-coup was the best thing that ever happened to her character.
- Kaidan's voice acting in ME3 is unbearable.
- I didn't enjoy the Citadel party at all.
- I admire the ME team for taking risks with their endings in ME2 and ME3 even if the latter didn't turn out well. I hope MEA tries something similar instead of playing it safe.

I am ok with the human reaper fight at the end of ME 2.
I thought it was quite good. Although I was puzzled as to why the Collectors weren't attacking me when I was shooting their Reaper baby in the eye.
I was also expecting some sort of explanation about the Human Reaper in ME3...Oh well...

-I liked the asari
samara will always be my chosen li..followed by Shiala .
- I hated kaidan/Ash and hoped we could both tie them to the Bomb . Alas , one of them come back to annoy you . I wanted them to romance each others and to switch side and go work for TIM .
-I loved the citadel DLC , the Omega DLC..but I could do without Jerkvik .

I thought it was quite a common opinion that all the side-questing in ME1 is really tedious, but not detrimental to the package as a whole, because it's totally optional?
Personally I think the plot of ME2 is completely ridiculous and only ties in minor ways with the plot of the trilogy of the whole (i.e. Reapers vs. the galaxy). I love the game, don't get me wrong, but I still think you could have cut out ME2 in its entirety (including the death & revival of Shepard), and replaced it with a three year timeskip, and ME3 would mostly still make sense.
I thought this was a thread for weird and outlandish opinions.

Liking asari is an outlandish opinion?

ME2's intro was complete **** and was the moment the trilogy jumped the shark. One of the dumbest moments in gaming.
ME1 was overall the most enjoyable game despite all its flaws, the main plot was also the best.

I believe the original trilogy would've been better off if they had simply made it a collection of straight up third person shooters with spellcasting without any pretense of faux-choices and removed the femshep option and used the resources saved from it to make other worthwhile content.

Mass Effect would have been infinitely better without the reapers.
Sovereign was fine, but they really should have dropped the reaper plot after ME1, or keep it on the background. Honestly the reapers are the biggest reason why the story of the ME trilogy is so crap.

I am ok with the human reaper fight at the end of ME 2.
Same. I thought it was fun. Also the whole "They're liquefying us to propagate their species" was great and something out of an H.P. Lovecraft novel.

It would have been great and Lovecraftian if we got this half-organic/half-synthetic giant human embryo:
Instead, we got a cheap ripoff of this:

- Mass Effect 2 is very overrated. A couple of conversations with a character, go do a mission unrelated to the main story. Repeat for each squadmate. That's like 80% of the game.
- I was not really bothered by the ME3 ending, but it could have been better. The reason so many people whined about it was because they wanted a happy ending in which Shepard and his/her LI and squadmates grab hands and go jumping and singing in a hill full of flowers, rainbows and butterflies.
- I don't like Liara, her voice makes me fall asleep and she is really creepy in ME3. She is easily one of the most boring characters in the entire trilogy.
- I can't stand Ashley's lips. Her hair in ME3 also makes me angry.
- I don't get why so many people hated Kaidan, he was like the only normal person in the SSV Daddy Issues who could deal with his own problems.

However, look into the "Top100 games" and one of them is at or near the top, ME2.
That being said, the most revolutionary feature of the series?

I think that the complaints about the Mako are super exaggerated. I mean sure, it felt really floaty but people complain as if it was painful to use. The Mako was fine.
I thought the Johnny Cash music was a great fit in the ME:A trailer.
I like Kaidan and Ash, but dislike Tali and Liara.

As a KB/M user on the PC, I found the mako to control just fine. The problem was with the bland copy and pasted uncharted worlds.

I would like to get a Mass Effect MMO.
Something like Guild Wars 1, with some bases and Planet-Locations as social hubs and a few hundert planets to explore optional solo or with other people.
So SP and MP would both be able to have fun on it and i could play it for the next 40 years until i drop dead.
(The SWTOR-Team, or what is left of it, will be busy for some more years with raping the star wars licence, so it can't become THAT bad.)

I liked Diana Allers too! Her voice acting was totally okay and I didn't mind her dress. I felt sorry for her when the reapers hit her birthplace and I never once thought about throwing her out of the airlock.

i have a different localisation, their german voice actors were fine for me. Paragon Maleshep had a soothing preacher-socialworker voice in ME 1 which sounded a bit over the top.
