In the next installment. I wish for bioware to have our new hero as the Son/Daughter of Commander Shep. keep the name, have a new Character. after all, all the sex had to be for something, right?? Im being serious. it will take a child of Shepard to save Andromeda

No. Big, fat NO.

Not only does ME:Andromeda play far in the future, there is no way Shep ever had a kid or survived in all possible endings. Same applies to the crew of the Normandy and the entire Milky Way.

Im perfectly fine with the milky way and shepard being totally forgotten an never mentioned again, unless i decide to play the original trilogy again

Well, Shepard did have a way with liara, ash, jack and miranda. Having a kid is really possible and having the lineage for the future in which Commander Shepard is an Ancestor... you guys seriously don't want any dealings with Shepard in the next galaxy??

Well I think every Shepard Embraced Eternity with Liara at some point during the trilogy and God knows what Cerberus did with Shepard's bits and bobs for all that time they had his body (I wonder what Liara did when she got Shep's body..umm I don't think I want to go there). And Shep could have had multiple partners thoughout the games. So a child is possible. Would I want a child of Shepard as a protagonist after how the trilogy ended? No....

No.

ME:A plays in the far future.

Every LI can die during ME3, if not before.

Everyone in the entire galaxy can die during the Refusal ending.

Shepard dies in at least 3 of 4 endings, so if she's female... no kids either.

And if the Tempest left for Andromeda before the Reaper invasion, then there was no time for Shepard to even have a kid.

There is no way to make this even remotely possible without choosing one ending as canon.

Not to mention that ME needs a fresh start, there was too much baggage in ME3, why would you want to drag this into a 4th game?

Im getting old man, i was there for things like the beginning of Nightmare on Elm street, Friday the 13th etc great movies when they first came out you know, but like then they released Friday the 13th episode 654309675 an things got stale, was great playing shepard an knowing the crew for a full trilogy but heck im left with great memories an dont want them spolied by shep episode 13, i'd rather move on an play exciting new adventures an revisit the others at leisure

All right, I hear y'alls argument. They are very valid and I respect them all. I am one of those guys that actually wishes for shep to still be around. If your arguments are the majority if vote, it wont matter anyway. Im looking forward to a new galaxy.

The thing is while i love "original trilogy" and nearly every character, it shouldn't happen for ME:A's sake.

Because ties with "original trilogy" will limit Bioware. That was i think one of the main reasons they moved the game's location elsewhere.

But maybe they'll revisit Shepard in someway, in a decade or so, who knows?

Not to mention that there are only a few specific Sheps who even had a compatible partner.

Basically only humans would work because the protagonist in ME:A is one: Kaidan, Ashley, Jack, Jacob, James.

Miranda is infertile.

There's no way Shep had a kid with either of them.

Every Shepard at some point in time allowed Liara to probe their mind.  She could have easily snatched his DNA, and boom blue babies.

Personal opinion aside wasn't it kind of difficult if not impossible for any of the LIs to have children with Shepard? Also if you played a female Shepard unless you romanced Liara I don't see any chance in her having a child. I could have sworn that most of the LIs were incompatible to have children with Shepard or just flat out unable to have children at all, please correct me if I am wrong.

So? Explain how Liara had a human child then? :P

No, you are correct.

Technically the first time you can have sex in ME is with Sha'ira, so Shep could have an Asari daughter before they died in ME2. It's extremely unlikely though. :P

maybe. What about ME1 Consort Lady? Though I agree Im not sure how it will work since asari only produce more asari. I know at the last end, shep still lived s long as you didn't destroy the reapers.

Well, I guess if Liara actually does snag a baby Shepard at the end of ME3 when they "embrace eternity" there, their progeny could conceivably be dying of old age as we arrive at Andromeda. Unless they're robots.

I expect this idea has already appeared in every draft of MEA's script, and will be present in the final product. Just to spite me.

Two words.

Refusal ending.

Everyone in the entire galaxy is potentially dead. How do you plan on explaining that?

Can't we have one game without anything to do with Shepard?

Umm.. in the end it shows the rebuild of what the reapers destroyed. I don't think I understand your question or I must be missing something entirely.

Anyway it really sounds like I am in the minority group of wanting to keep shep. If this is what majority wants, then bioware needs to shoot for it. i think there needs to be a poll about whether people want shep or someone new.

ME3 had 4 general endings:

1. Destroy - all synthetic lifeforms are wiped out, Shepard may survive if you have a high EMS

2. Control - Shepard dies and a new Shepard AI takes control of the Reapers

3. Synthesis - Shepard dies and the Catalyst rapes the entire galaxy with nonsense particles

4. Refuse the previous three choices, Reapers win, every advanced species is harvested and wiped out and 50.000 years later the next cycle defeats the Reapers.

Anyway it really sounds like I am in the minority group of wanting to keep shep. If this is what majority wants, then bioware needs to shoot for it. i think there needs to be a poll about whether people want shep or someone new.

*sigh* Seriously, you need to do some research on ME:A.

I would have no problem with Shepard coming back, I just wouldn't want a child of Shepard in a game
