Just want to add to this that under no circumstances do I want THIS galaxy in peril as well, especially not in the first game. Hopefully not at all. We can do smaller scale, and it'll probably be better.

Smaller scale is all but confirmed. I doubt the story will be massive again.

I'm not sure my Shepard is the fatherly type, but if Bioware decides he and Kaidan adopted, oh well.

So we are moving to Andromeda to avoid a canon ending and you want to make it even worse with a canon child? NOOOO!

Maybe he doesn't want to avoid a canon ending in the first place?

Do you think that's a good idea?

I don't think two men can have a baby, try hard as they might, and my guess is that if anyone's gonna get pregnant from an f/f romance, it would probably be Shepard by Liara because I don't think Samara would want to sire anymore kids after giving birth to three succubi and Traynor's toothbrush can only do so much. So... unlikely.

Maybe that female running alongside the Andromedagonist in the trailer is Liara's "gift" to Andromeda.

I'm happy with that. At least my weird alien daughter got out and did something with her life... rather than sitting in her room playing video games.

Also, I spent at least three minutes trying to pronouce "Andromedagonist", so thanks for that.

Canon ending.." i have no idea what that means".. I am indeed not trying to a avoid the ending because of one simple reason. If you allow Bioware to create an ending in which the mass public dislikes and instead of actually doing something. Bioware takes the escape route to andromeda. If you allow them to do it and think its a good idea, it only encourages them to care less about mistakes and you may see the same ending once again and for all we know. Their escape route will be the Sombrero Galaxy. I cant come with an idea who the kiddo should be. Though I do know it wasnt supposed to be the end if shep and at the end, with the grandpa and grandson. the grandfather promised more stories. Bioware labeled us the listeners through the child and them the grandparent telling the story. We also know shep lived in the end of mass 3. Additionally, shep talks about kids with liara on mass one. Albeit it was more about asari reproduction but it was also talking about them in a deeper sort of way in which shep wants her for life. so i now agree with everyone's arguments. Shep bloodline wont save andromeda. but to have an Asari child come up and become a companion to the team, why not?

You're welcome. Rolls off the tongue after saying it a few times. Sorta. If you concentrate.

For the n-th time: Shepard dies in almost all endings.

Andromeda-gonist.

Pretty much, but more like: Andromed-agonist. Instead of the "duh" sound at the end of Andromeda, it's "daah" like the "a" in protagonist.

An-draw-muh-daah-gon-ist.

Okay, I agree and submit to the argument. I can see after all that why its easier for everyone to just move on and start new.

It's simple: not all Shepards can or want to have children, adopted or natural, let alone are actually around after the end of ME3. The requirements for Andromeda's protagonist to be Shepard's child are too demanding for it to be a possibility, period.

Shepard united the galaxy, was proclaimed its ruler, and established a dynasty of Shepard-born emperors. Prior to the events of Andromeda, wormholes opened up all over the Milky Way. Hostile aliens of unknown origins poured in everywhere and tried to destroy the Citadel. Shepard's last known descendant sacrificed their life to close the wormholes forever. All except one, begin Andromeda. The Asari Dominion is extending its grasp over the universe, claiming that Shepard is not a real god and should not belong to the space magic pantheon. War rages on in Andromeda over the same question...oh and a supreme Reaper got shot forward in time and wants to Reap everything.

...wait, this sounds oddly familiar.

Well, I say this post is now at an end. I have no choice but to accept that majority of people dont want shepard around. I don't think its right that everyone wants to take the easy route and quit because its too had to explain shepards story. If its what y'all want, then Bioware should definately keep doing what theyre doing. See you all around Adromeda. If anyone wants to add my gamertag for multiplayer or co op, it's StarJewelian on Microsoft Platform. Note Im in military and deploy a lot but Ill be online when I can.
