In the next installment. I wish for bioware to have our new hero as the Son/Daughter of Commander Shep. keep the name, have a new Character. after all, all the sex had to be for something, right?? Im being serious. it will take a child of Shepard to save Andromeda

 

Bah - would you stop being so damned attached to that character?

 

I mean it will not even work for a lot of people (!), Sheppard can't have children with Tali for example and those he would have with Liara would be Asari (!) - and that's just a few of the outcomes you would have to contend with (and you would have to bring up the ENDING(S) which they want to avoid I think because of the - very justified! - backlash they got over that clusterfuck!)

 

Oh, and as far as I know they don't want to allow us to play as aliens (Asari in that case - as all other relationships with aliens would probably remain childless...unless they hand wave that (Space Magic?))

I would have no problem with Shepard coming back, I just wouldn't want a child of Shepard in a game

I never want to read/hear/see anything about, crucible, starbrat and blue/red/green ending.
I won't pre order any mass effect game and will pay close attention on reliable reviews before buying it.

Yes, I do. I've always thought that RPG choices should end when we stop playing the character who made the choices. I think the MEU would be best served by following what happened after a particular Shepard made a particular set of choices.

It's one thing for a character to keep making choices after we stop playing them. It's another thing to rewrite the choices the character made when we were playing them. And canonizing one of the endings would be the latter. For example, using the prompt of this thread, I wouldn't be upset if they decided my Shepard adopted a kid with Kaidan even though I never imagined him as a father. However, I would be upset if they decided that my Shepard had a baby with Liara for the sake of a plot point. (Not that I think they would, I'm just using it as a hypothetical.)

My femShep is lesbian, the only time she had sex that could lead to reproduction was with Sha'ira. Otherwise it was just Kelly and Samantha.

How many possible endings could Shepard have had a biological kid? As far as I can remember, the only candidates would be Ashley for male!Shep, Kaiden for fem!Shep, and Liara for both, but Liara's kid would be an Asari so it can't be that. Miranda is sterile, Jacob ditches fem!Shep before he knocks her up, and the other human romances are homosexual. Shepard can't have a kid with any non-human/asari romance.

 

Overall, the amount of people with a VS romance is likely small overall, and at this point Bioware understandably seems to have absolutely no desire to wade into this mess.

Jacob does smash Shepard, and then he ditches you. I would know    why else would Shepard be acting all "rapey" we they meet back up?

Male Shepard with Jack and Kelly. Also with Diana's not-romance. Plus Female Shepard's not-romance with James and both Shepards' not-romance with Samara, but again that would be another Asari rather than human.

 

Still doesn't change that this is a terrible idea, though.

I'm sure anything that happens with Jacob got taken care of by Shepard's Morning After VI installed by Cerberus, because obviously Shepard isn't 6 months pregnant by the start of ME3.

Or it's the device that projects the hologram but it's never actually turned on...so you never see what it looks like at all

The more I think about it the less I really care if they choose a 'canon' story arc or not. I would think the majority of people played the series multiple times (I mad ea buuunch of shepards) and made just about every contradicting decision possible. With perhaps a few exceptions. I know I did.

If they go with Liara mind-raping Shepard, so that Shepard has a brat, she should be super depressed about it. Plus Liara should get a cameo as a crazy old asari suffering from dementia, who constantly goes on about how great Shepard is.

Sheesh, people are really attached to Shepard.  I love mine, but... I don't want to see the "son/daughter" which would be impossible because this game takes place long after the events of ME3...
