TL;DR:

 

Combat Geth on Reactor Hazard using a team of 1-4 players with fire power kits (Vorcha Soldier and/or Sentinel, Geth Trooper, Krogan Sentinel, Human Engineer, Salarian Engineer, Quarian Male Engineer, Vorcha Engineer. No duplicate kits are allowed) and any weapon, using Incendiary Ammo. Rockets only on objectives and extraction, and full extraction is required.

Emexia quite rightly pointed out that those BSNers who are not suffering the heat may be having the opposite problem of being too cold, and krjn09 complained/boasted of having rain to contend with

 

So, for those of you who are feeling chilly, here's the complementary challenge to make you feel warmer.

 

Logically, Geth should be the opponents because they try to burn you with fire, and Reactor Hazard has the hottest place in ME3MP, namely the reactor itself. Obviously you should contribute as much fire as possible, so you will use only Incendiary Ammo and a kit with fire powers, either Flamer or Incinerate.

 

The kit list is Vorcha Soldier and/or Sentinel, Geth Trooper, Krogan Sentinel, Human Engineer, Salarian Engineer, Quarian Male Engineer, Vorcha Engineer. No duplicate kits are allowed on the team (so either HFE or HME but not both), and there must be at least one Flamer kit. Note that the Paladin and QFE are not allowed, since they are already required in the Combat the Heat challenge.

 

Any weapon is permitted but it must be using Incendiary Ammo.

 

Missiles are allowed only on objective waves and extraction, although if you feel very cold each player is allowed to use a singe rage rocket during the game. Armored Compartments is not allowed. Full extraction is required.

 

Cooking team members in the reactor is required whenever possible!

 

The challenge is open as solo, duo, trio, or full squad on any level, screenshot required.

 

There will be special recognition for:

• trios consisting of all Flamer kits
• trios consisting of all Vorcha kits
• the full squad with the smallest score spread

Well, I thought about that one, and also considered Carnage as a component, but decided against it since Combat the Cold works well with 5 kits and here we already have more than that. If these two are popular I may come back with a Carnage & Inferno nade challenge. (Not that I intended to go as far as doing 2, even....)

x3 hacks, all in the some location. 

 

First time playing the Vorcha engineer. Took the Executioner and it went better than expected until wave 8, then things went to hell a bit. Fitting really, ain't no place warmer, after all.

For dessert I'm serving CEBK cookies, sauteed marksmad & stir fry Biotic Pulse as somehow I was able to cook all 3 of them in the reactor at least once.

After a long mild spell at the end of autumn (fall in American) the winter has finally bit on Europe with snow and ice and freezing wind. In view of this meteorological fact, I thought I'd re-open this challenge for those of you who want to feel warmer by playing ME3. Also, there are several people on the forum who weren't around, or active, when the challenge was first put up, so this is their chance to get a squad together and set things on fire.

 

The challenge will stay open this time for at least until my toes thaw out, or everyone on the forum has done it, whichever comes first.

 

Give it a try. There's no downside

 

Also, I never kept my original promise to put together a HoF for this challenge, so here's another opportunity for you all to twist my arm to do it this time round.
