[ZeroDivision]

So i just got my city elf female warrior's strength up to 38 with the intention of using the wonderfully powerful Blood Dragon armor set that bioware has so kindly provided to us as a DLC set only to find that, much to my dismay, the textures for the entire torso area and most of the arms are missing.  They are simply black.  I am wondering if this is a known problem and if there is any way to fix it.  I can provide a screenshot if need be.

Yeah, I am missing my female elf Blood Dragon Armor textures as well. Seems like its a problem with the DLC for everyone, not just you and me. I'm sure it'll get patched eventually... Game hasnt even been out for a week yet.

Still doesnt work. I can see the shoulders and hip peices the chest is missing - shown black.

Just ran into this issue as well. Female elf mage wearing the armour, but aside from the shoulder pieces the armour is just a flat black colour. Deleted the item and redownloaded but that didn't solve the problem.

Having the same problem. It's really annoying. It's the best armor that I've come across and it looks like crap.

Same as reported above. When my character (female elf) is wearing the Armor most of the chest and parts of the arms are without textures. They just appear black.

Im having the same problem on my female elf, it seems thats the only one having any problems modeling.

Apparently it's due to a missing texture file. It's not that they never made one for us female elves, only that the download for the pc did not have the texture file included. The 360 and PS3 versions all have the proper file for female elves. Wonder why they don't just fix the download and have everyone redownload the fixed file...

A fix for the issue with the Blood Dragon Armor appearing corrupted on female elves has been implemented and is undergoing final testing. It is currently scheduled to be released early next week.

I cant find any links on this site or biowares to check for game patches.

I eventually found the 1.01b patch but nothing else after an hour of searching and googling.



So with mounting frustration, can someone please tell me how you are meant to find any patches?

Patches are somewhat unorganized for now, or at least it looks that way to me.
Official (read: bumping the version number) ones are relatively easy to find: Under your avatar you go to My Games and then Game Patches. There's nothing on there besides the 1.01b patch though.

Now inofficial patches are harder to track down because they are just that, unofficial and haven't gone through QA. As such they generally are unsupported.
Right now there's only one I'm aware of, the Dex fix for Daggers and Archery. This will also make enemy archers more powerful though.

And then there's the hotfix for the armor linked above and also stickied here in the Tech Support forum. Since it made it to the official support site I'd guess it's stable but I haven't tried yet for the lack of a female elf to put the armor on.



I hope that helped, I think I managed to confuse myself somewhere along the way...

I'd strongly recommend that you read the entire thread. Some players (myself included) had further problems after installing this official fix!

Thats great - thanks for the help guys.

After reading the first page of that thread, I think I'll wait for an official patch - and then quite possibly the official patch to patch the patch!



For fear of losing my dlc I'm just going to try and get through the game with shale without installing any further patches.

However, I have installed the item creator npc mod so I can make items similar to those in the dlc. At least that way the disappearing gear can be replaced and the game continued.

Another benefit is that I actually get to wear armour that looks good. Not sure why the blood dragon armour looks so bad compared to anything else in the game...
