- Potions cannot be used while Simulacrum is active
- Simulacrum resets all cooldowns when it triggers

I had thought to make a post today lamenting the key weaknesses of Simulacrum in Multiplayer, then this happened....STOP READING MY MIND! :)

But seriously, I'd probably settle for giving away the new banners, portraits and titles if we could get a retro application for all those games played with the new toons.

 

Still, don't want to be too negative about the new update; the weapons are kickass, Nightmare mode looks to be a great XP farm(friend got 14 levels on her 1st level Virtuoso today), plus the fixes.

Just to emphasize this, these are MP only changes.

 

Weapons:


Proving Grounds:

- A tutorial level. Can be accessed from the class selection screen. It is played solo.

 

New Difficulties:

- Nightmare: Step up from Perilous in every way.

 

Armor:

- All armors were refactored for level to provide more armor rating

- All armors rarity icon color has been modified to be consistent with items

 

Bug Fixes/Changes:

- Taunt now generates support XP

- Fade Cloak no longer has global camera shake

Weapons:
1. How rare are we talking? It's going to cost you $20 million and 6mths of playtime rare? or two wks/$2 million rare?
2. Can we get another Inv space buff. The more stuff you guys add, the quicker we run out of space.

Proving Grounds: Sweet you guys do listen. Where is it though? I went to Character Selection screen and saw the normal stuff.

 

Difficulties: Was the one above Nightmare an accidental release or supposed to be hidden?

Armor: Nice.

 

Bug/Fixes:

For those interested in the changes to mook blocking from Venatori/Templar soldiers, I tried Whirlwind on them with the Katari and noticed that they won't stop your animation and counteract. After a time, however, they'll start to negate any damage you inflict on them. That said, it did look like after 6-7 rotations I was able to damage them again. Maybe there's a threshold for how much damage they can take at one time (as I had the upgrade for Whirldwind as well).

 

Moral to the story: Go nuts with Whirlwind if you can.

Of course Spirit Blade wasn't touched with the patch. I guess Luke still can't figure out what to do with it, and so it's been left in its mediocre state. Lame I say. Very, very lame.

Guess I don't feel TOO bad about everyone getting the new banners for basically free. They are a tad underwhelming. But these new weapons are schweet!

I shall wear it as a celebratory badge for the week; a sovereign, if you will, of the already stunning amount of other badges that I obviously have.

Stone Fist is a detonator now, it's true. Still damage for rupture looks quite low, looks like 150%-200% per tick, so on mage those types of values aren't in territory of "Wow".
Still it's single target detonator, detonates only target directly damaged.

For now I don't even see any point of nerfing it. Damage is at most average, lacks aoe effect detonation, so on classes which have it (ele and AW) it's more for paralyze detonation (still with not that easy aiming).

I would probably prefer way more aoe detonation version, could be with lower damage, but it would be more useful and easy to use.

You can get the new weapons (and dragon weapons) in chests. The Hakkon weapons are dragon drops in Nightmare.

Well I did get a shatter detonation for 2k damage when trying it out yesterday so there's that. Discharge and rupture were quite disappointing still.

I noticed the new challenges for "Traveller" and "Legendary Dragon Slayer" which I assume are both for completing operations in nightmare.  Both are stuck at zero completed despite finishing a few already with PuGs.

PC here. There's space prepared for that button... but no button.

I guess that might explain the difference in patch size? Don't the XBone and PS4 patches take up 1GB of space more then the PC patch?

Yesterday i played the multiplayer without issues with Patch 1.09
Today i can not create a game or play in random parties on PS4. I can not use the Shop.
Some one else with this problem?
