Almost every update to DAI has caused me trouble. Game played fine this morning, but after today's update (7/6/2015), the DAI icon is grayed out in Origins and the Repair Game option doesn't appear if I right click.
Any thoughts?

On PC, you can copy/paste saves between users/systems. That's all this is.
Not between the PTs. Any save file is encrypted and permanently belongs to the specific PT, even if edited and\or renamed. One can't copy it into the new PT (e.g. to replay the same character differently, from the beginning, without going through the CC again).
Wait! What? 1.16gb just for MP and not SP? Not even a 'NPC stopping and watching my ass being handed to me during fight' bug fix? Seriously??? And why I can't find any freaking news about it? No message from Bioware?
Good for those who play MP. But I think BW just hits rock bottom if this patch is really just for MP, and no contact whatsoever is made. Hoping that's just a sad delay on the news.
BioWare has never given you the information to do this in any previous Inquisition patch, and they have not done so with this most recent patch either.
I agree that everything should be documented, though it's clearly not intended for you to have any real choice in patching.
As a solo player, I absolutely do have the real choice to patch or not. The question is whether I should. Without knowing what the patch entails, it can't be answered meaningfully.

The patch is not just MP. People dug in it already and found future-DLC-related assets.... and I think we have confirmation of SP notes coming eventually in this tweet from one of the devs: https://twitter.com/...174649856233472

The key word there is "eventually." If new SP assets are just tagging along with a primarily MP patch then SP players can certainly wait until a new DLC is going to be released, or until there is an actual SP patch to play with.
But if they release notes that show that there are some meaningful changes for SP as well (there are still actual bugs in the game), then I will go ahead and patch. Right now, when all the info I have is that it is primarily for MP, something I don't even play, it is pointless for me to patch.
So I just killed all the mods I had for something that I literally never play to get updated...
Great.
As I said, you're not intended to have a choice; that you have one is beside the point. As a solo player, I absolutely do have the real choice to patch or not. The question is whether I should. Without knowing what the patch entails, it can't be answered meaningfully.
Single Player isn't working after this patch. I can't load any of my saves from any playthroughs on the XBONE. Getting an error message saying that the save file cannot be located until after "INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE." Um, it's complete. All 2 and half gigs.

. . .
How is it beside the point? It's precisely the point--making an informed decision whether or not to accept the patch. That's why I'm in here asking about it. I don't know why you are here.

This better not fck up a mod I installed yesterday. I finally decided to try out a mod and now this stupid patch, which people have said is for MP, is downloading.
I'm still waiting for them to fix Stonefist's bug that has been around since 1.0 - where detonation damage doesn't occur. When that happens I will reinstall and play again.
One of the dev's apparently said it was a priority for him via twitter awhile ago, but not holding my breath on this.
It's fixed in multiplayer (and will have its damage reduced on Friday, since it's overpowered there now).I'm still waiting for them to fix Stonefist's bug that has been around since 1.0 - where detonation damage doesn't occur. When that happens I will reinstall and play again.

I'm not saying you're wrong for choosing, just that they don't care.
You started the conversation; I merely responded.
And you know this . . . how?
My conversation was not meant for you. It was meant for anyone with at least a bit more knowledge than I have, and helpful intentions.
I see that nothing new since yesterday is known about how this patch affects the SP game in its current incarnation. I can wait.
Is this supposed to be out yet? Don't see it available for pc.
Sooo...after a long absence I found some mods that would make my game more enjoyable and liberate me from endless farming, searching and a horribly implemented dirt build up effect. It was grand, returning to Thedas after such a long time.
Aaaand yesterday evening I started Origin again. Thought to myself, " Could use something to drink.", left, returned and saw the horror of Inquisition updating. I was too late.
But looking on the bright side, I don't have to worry about the mods not working anymore...BECAUSE THE GAME WON'T LAUNCH AT ALL! Sure, it's listed in the Taskmanager. But that's it.
*sigh*
I don't use the multiplayer and as someone who plays for the story I could care less about Qunari armor. Give me the effin Inquisition schematics!
Seriously Bioware...you're just screwing with me, right?

Welcome to the club, there are quite a lot of us with the same problem, check out the tech support forum.........
****... Seriously I need a way to return to the previous patch T_T My game was completely and extensively moded, now I'm back to boring vanilla ¬¬ Is there any way to return to patch 8? I never play multiplayer so I don't care about whatever this patch fixes, just give my mods back ![]()

I have. I always check for solutions before complaining.
It's just really frustrating because with the mods I could finally enjoy the story without delaying too much.

HEck DAI isn't starting up for me at all after the patch

The moral to the story is to make sure you have "automatically keep my games up to date" unchecked. In addition, play in off-line mode...that way the game won't get mad at you for not updating.
I've heard that the mod manager is broken again, and DAI Cinematic Tools is no longer working. I would imagine this could also effect WBG.
Just checked, and both Cassandra and Cole locked up during a fight in Crestwood. Looks like the bug is still in.
