patching should always be optional in a single player game (wouldn't be viable in multiplayer obviously as it can be problematic if everyone is on different versions) and patch notes should be released either before or when the patch is released. sadly it's not just bioware that don't seem to understand the sense behind that though
patch?

What is very hard to understand is the silent treatment from Bioware. I understand that the relationship with fansbase became "different" after ME3 ending blunder, but I don't think it should last forever. It just makes things worse now. Maybe they thought the fans had too much voice? Don't know. Whatever it is, I can understand the changes. But that's going too far. No news; no messages; patches with no notes; absolutely no indication if our investment will be fixed, or when. OK, don't leave decisions to the fanbase. But don't cut off all communications and simple business or human relations.
WHAT IS HAPPENING with DAI, updates, fixes, mods etc? ![]()
Don't just feed us Multiplayer stuff. What about the SP??? I for one, and I bet a lot (a lot!) of people too, am giving Bioware more credit than I think they imagine we do these days. I don't actually think the DA franchise is more than 'above-average'. But I keep coming back exactly because it's Bioware, and I still believe they can always surprise me with great stories and fantastic RPGs. And I used to include fan relations in that list. Hope I can again in the future.

Single Player isn't working after this patch. I can't load any of my saves from any playthroughs on the XBONE. Getting an error message saying that the save file cannot be located until after "INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE." Um, it's complete. All 2 and half gigs.
Whenever anything changes in an installed game, there is the possibility that the cache will become corrupt, since what's in it may no longer accurately reflect the installed game data. Clearing the cache often cures such serious ills. Go to Settings-> Power & Startup and do a Restart Now. That may get your game back to a playable state.

turn off auto updates,
It won't help.

Yes, two buttons.
Even those who never play MP have to download that new MP character combined with MP fixes in order to play their single player game.
Somehow ME3 had all the MP-related content left out for free DLCs

Given its size, my guess is the patch has some non-MP stuff, probably related to today's DLC release. If you're not getting The Descent, then play DAI in offline mode.

This patch seems to have extended the length of time that those black load screens are present during the single player game?

Only for multiplayer?
Hmm, I think I'll skip this one. I don't use multiplayer- and do not intend to.
I'm tired of patched and updates to be honest.

That doesn't apply to the console versions.

Yeah, but we can't mod. I like the low entry cost and lack of tech hassles on consoles, but we do miss out on a lot.
