Bought a bunch of chests today and of course lot of salvage, but after done noticed my cottons were lower than when I started buying chests, which is a major glitch if other have this issue. The players in the lobby with me checked and seemed to have the same problem, and before anyone says anything I had 33 Imperial Vestment Cottons at the beginning of today before buying a chest. Then after spending 360k I had 31 and I did no crafting during my time purchasing chests. I know I saw several IVC's when salvaging, and even then how could I lose 2???

 

Please check this when buying and salvaging and post if you also notice an issue.

12 simple cotton and 3 IVC. I don't know how many Imperial I had, but I used to have way more cotton than this.

just checked... omg, Im pretty sure I had more then 34 cotton.... if that is a bug then fix it asap

More of my friends are seeing the same thing, less cotton after salvaging....Grrrr.....

I just ran a quick test, PC user.  No loss of cotton.  Spent about 30k on chests in the store, salvaging as I went along.  Took forever to get even a single cotton type, but when I did, it properly incremented.  Got a couple dozen Silks of the three tiers, but Cotton is just set to extremely low probabilities, apparently, on the loot tables.

 

Also, as a further test case, I salvaged several runes, and mage upgrades while out of the store.  However, no Cottons were received from that smaller pool of salvage, so the test here was inconclusive. 

 

Therefore, unless the OP has some specific test case to back up his claim, I'd say that the original claim is in error.

Spent about 100k on chests today, no lost cotton. Salvaged a bunch of staff grips, gained more cotton.

FYI I'm on Xbox One so not sure if this is platform specific. Also, I had 33 IVC but lets say I only had 31 then that would mean I still did not get 1 IVC out of buying 300 large chests, which have been giving purples to me like the class chests did. Several chests with 3-4 purples and few chests with no purples. Probably salvaged 50 Superb runes or more and at least 50 high level dragon weapons as well. Again I spent 360k gold today and I know for a fact I got some IVC out of all that salvage. Additionally, like the post says all of my cotton is lower than when I started buying the chests and you can't tell me I didn't get even regular cotton. I got like 150 silk but no level 1 cotton? Nope something is afoot Watson. (Cotton was in 80's and Lustrous was in 60's and both still are after all that salvage)

As a followup, bought some more chests, got much luckier with IVC and LC drops.  All incremented properly.  Not seeing the OT situation on PC.
