And again, missing the point. No one has been deprived of ANYTHING they've paid for because of this announcement, or the policy change it contained.
Not one single person. Everything already purchased plays just fine ON THE PLATFORM FOR WHICH IT WAS PURCHASED.
Beyond that... BioWare are making it possible to transfer certain elements from one platform to another. They've never done that before. The closest they'd come was being able to create world-states in the Keep and export them to any platform.
So one could say that last-gen players are now getting SPECIAL treatment. PC players can't move their saves onto the PS4, but you don't hear them complaining.
How are they NOT being deprieved of extra content they specifically paid for AT launch? The Deluxe Edition was listed for around $69-70+ at launch, compared to the base edition which was the typical $60+ BioWare offered two separate edition. People bought the Deluxe Edition SPECIFICALLY for the extra content (that came with the base game) within their base game, yet they are now (reportedly) unable to access it. How is that not on BioWare/EA? Cheating people out of their money because they happened to buy a non Deluxe Edition when they upgraded, WITHOUT telling them they should do so.
BioWare is responsible for BOTH versions of their game, not just one.
It's not special treatment, as it does old genners absolutely no good what so ever if they cannot/will not upgrade. Some of them simply can't, some can't see the justification in repurchasing a game twice.
PS3 can't move to Xbox ONe, 360 can't move to PS4 in that same regard, I don't see your point. Some people have bought DA:I for their PS3 and happened to upgrade to a Xbox ONE, and vice versa. What if a last gen player wants to move to a PC? They can't do that either. It's not limited to PC.
