Now I love ME1, but imo it had the most poorly implemented inventory system that I have ever seen. I think Bioware usually handles inventory quite well, going back to Balbur's Gate. But in ME1 it was terrible.

Hate to break this to ya but you simply cannot dislike an inventory system because it's unrealistic. That's just pathetic, you see? Stating that the whole concept of looting sucks as a fact is also pathetic. I suggest you move yourself to the Unreal Tournament, Counter Strike or Gears of War forums before you make an even bigger fool of yourself.

kthxbye!

How sad is the response since you stated plenty of absolutes? Gosh, you have an opinion and so do I, egads. I guess everyone, except you of course, should preface every single comment with a" in my opinion but your may differ" comment as if the world doesn't make that assumption.

Worse is your immediate association of anyone who doesn't like looting with a shooter. Wow, I've played 1 shooter in my life - Bioshock- more for the story than than shooting to be honest. Bad assumption. Dear god that's actually accurate which likely explains my immense suck at combat in this game.

What you can't seem to do is figure out a way to defend the total non-fun of being a low-end stock boy with the massive inventory systems. I'm less concerned about reality, since I never once mentioned it, and more conerned about the fact that after a great dialog sequence and then great combat there's nothing fun about clicking on  corpses to find out what drops they have. Then of course comes the fun of selling the stuff to merchants...that is immense amounts of fun. Sorry, if you break the game down into the constituent elements I'd play the combat game, I'd play the dialog game but would anyone play the inventory game? Don't think so, sorry. Things that aren't funs shouldn't be in a game.

Now, I wish there were several gun models to choose from, I cant say i miss the old inventory at all. I never experimented in me1 with different mods, i just went for accuracy and weapon force every time.

I do wish there were more armor types though. Inferno armor would be better if i could change the helmet and re-color the thing but that probably wont be happening.

Pointless discussion. The inventory system served its purpose in ME1, and while it took a lot of mucking about and gelling, it worked just fine.

Your weak link, however, is that this is ME2. No one ever said it would be exactly like ME1, so the only one you have to blame is yourself for expecting something that was never promised to you.

Not at all. I hated looting all those containers and getting only garbage

No way, Omni-gel everything, and the effects of armor we negligible to be honest. In ME 2 your squad mates are the elite of the elite. They can equip themselves.

Only thing I slightly miss is choosing diff guns on the fly,

I thought the same as eveyrone else at first, but as I got further into the game I reliazed that yes Bioware changed the inventory system and yes on the out side it seems as though you don't much control. Then you start scanning worlds and using upgrades, then you start to understand what Bioware was thinking. I don't know I think they came up with a more realistic system. Just my opinion.

I loved the old system. It allowed strategic planning but wasn't overly burdomsome. That said I recognize that not everyone enjoys the old system.
