You could always start up a change.org petition.  Those always help.

We shouldn't just take this lying down! We should all try to do something to fix this! Bioware shouldn't alienate their fans this way, it isn't right! We aren't getting something that buyers of the game are entitled to! What could people do? Petition? Complain to the BBB? Or we could boycott the buying of any new dlc until they are available on last gen! We can't give up and excuses like 'buy a new system' don't work! Many people don't have the money for a new console, and we shouldn't have to spend more money on something just to finish a story that Bioware promised us!!!!

There is not much point after how people ignored old gen folks with problems after release. There was petition to make them notice that people are having problems and maybe finally patch what they can, but BW never really came around. So trying to actually communicate with them seems pretty pointless at the moment for me. I guess I'll leave it with this request.. and complains about them.

I'm extremely upset about this decision by Bioware/EA. There are three main reasons I'm upset:

1.) I paid full price for a product and zero indication was given at the time that there would be future content limitations due to my choice of purchase option. If I had been warned at purchase time that there was a possibility my game would not have full access to future story content or that the platform availability would be subject to change, I would not under any circumstances have purchased it. (I still would have bought the game eventually, but I would have waited till I could get a next gen console too.) I bought this game under false pretenses because of the company's misrepresentation that I was being offered a complete product, and I am not happy about it.

2.) I am now being told to purchase a second copy of a game I already bought if I want to access the same content available to other players. Again, had what I bought been accurately represented in the first place as a future-content-limited version of the game, I would not have bought it, so this one stings doubly.

3.)  I am also really upset about the rude and condescending announcement. Reality is that I am being significantly inconvenienced here. I know stuff happens, but an apology and reasonable explanation would have gone a long way toward smoothing it over. I'm not an idiot. The spin that they're doing us some kind of favor just makes it worse.

I understand the decision is made and won't be changed at this point. I'm never going to be happy about it, but I can live with it.

I'm not okay with how Bioware/EA is handling this, though. It is absolutely ridiculous to expect me to re-purchase the game at full price because the product we were purchasing was misrepresented. To repeat: I would not have purchased the PS3 version of the game had I been warned there was any risk whatsoever that they would do this. It's my choice whether or not to upgrade my console, but I do feel Bioware/EA has a responsibility to make it right regarding the misrespresented product we were suckered into purchasing. I shouldn't have to buy the same game twice because their company couldn't get it together to give the customers accurate information at the time of purchase, and I can't believe they're seriously expecting people to be okay with such a shady business move.

I've heard all the excuses players have offered on their behalf, but the bottom line is whatever happened, they screwed over some of their customers and they need to make it right by at least sparing us having to repurchase the same game.

Maybe Kotaku will write something about this. They always point out bad practices by game companies, the most recent being Steam allowing people to charge for Skyrim mods. Who knows, it might be worth a try.

only thing you can do is go to the bbb and even then chances are slim on a good day

This is response to these news: http://www.dragonage...s/save-importer

"All future Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One only, so we designed our Save Importer feature to help make the transition to a new console as easy as possible."

"* Requires Dragon Age: Inquisition to play; sold separately; Requires purchase of PlayStation 4 or Xbox One console."

So basically there will be no DLC's for PS3 and XBOX360 anymore. Although we own the same game we will be missing tons of content and basically be treated like second class players. Save importer isn't enough really to fix this. Why should we buy two versions of same game? That's very greedy from Bioware, since we all already purchased the game.

Let me just say that I was really looking forward new DLC's especially when I heard rumors that they will be content heavy, but this really doesn't make me want to buy another version of the game I already have. And I'm not ready to upgrade to PS4 either, I was going to get it for Mass Effect Andromeda, but not yet.

So I guess although I know there is very big change of Bioware actually doing anything for old gen folks.. after waiting over half year for fixes on the actual game.. I still thought it wouldn't hurt at least ask. So Bioware please be fair and do the right thing. Don't milk your customers and treat them as second class, you yourself decided to sell this game for last gen consoles and you should take responsibility over it.

I support this idea. It would certainly go a long way to rebuild that broken bridge they've created between themselves and old gen players.

I'm going to put this in words I know BioWare will understand.

Bioware: I want to give you my money. I will buy your DLC. I will pay whatever price it takes to get additional content. I've been doing this since the original Mass Effect, through that entire series, and through DA: O, DA: A, and DA2. I want to continue doing this with DA: I. Let me stress this. I want to give you my money.

I can give you a long and involved story as to why I bought DA: I for the 360 and not the One at the time of sale, but you don't want to hear that. You want to hear how you can continue to get money from me. So let me explain how you can get my money.

Find a way for me to be able to get your DLC. I don't care how you do it. Give me a free copy on the XBox One. Other companies have done this when similar problems came up. Will you trail behind those who have come before? Release the DLC later on 360 than it comes out on the One to clean up any issues that it being a previous Gen console may cause. I don't care. Figure something out. I'm a loyal customer. You are not being a loyal provider.

Find a way to take my money. I know you want it.

At least Bioware should allow old gen customer refund their unsupported product. No every player has the money or the will to upgrade to next gen.

I heard recently that PS3 support for FFXIV would end soon.

In response to that, they offered trade in for PS4 copies in exchange for the PS3 copies.

The impression that I have from Japanese companies is that they generally aren't so forthcoming with this kind of thing.

There are precedence's for this kind of thing and EA can stand to gain from this in the long run.

If they don't, its another stain on their record for customer service.

@TommyServo I think they do think we are that stupid. after all they advertised all this content that they cut at the last minute and they have said publicly in interviews that all that content was cut because the old gen systems could not handle it.

and the way they will spin it is that they are listening to the community by giving us the content we demanded.

Indeed. Full refund, period. It's what Rocksteady did with the PC version of Batman Arkham Knight, they should do the same thing. Not that I'll get a refund, I bought it used for 30 bucks. Good thing too, means I got to play it without putting a single cent into their pockets. In fact, I'll be buying every single Bioware game used from now on specifically to not support them. Most they might get out of me is DLC purchases. Hell, I would pirate if I didn't think I would be caught and banned permanently from Origin... So buying used is all I can do. This is how to boycott while still playing the games you enjoy, buy it in a way that the money doesn't go to the publisher at all.

It is not about trading anymore, if the company decides to support their product as half faulty why should not customers of these faulty products ask for refund? Treat your customers honestly and equally, is that too much to ask for now?

Sorry to burst your bubble but there's zero legal precedent for them making any DLC at all unless the specific DLC was detailed and promised at launch and was tied to a purchase, ie: Season Pass. Even then most products come with a EULA stating that DLC may or may not be made as many problems may occur between launch and said DLC being made, for example: a studio doesn't want to be forced into making DLC or being sued if said studio goes under or sales were abysmal.

Last gen players were given the first DLC, we should be given the rest. I'm sick of hearing excuses to just move on because 'last gen sucks and you should move on to new'. If Bioware was going to do this, why give us the first DLC and raise our expectations? Why release it on the last gen at all if they were going to do this?

Warner only pulled the Arkham Knight PC version because people were getting refunds as that version was simply a terrible port. Had the refund system not existed there's a very good chance they would've simply said "we'll look into patching it", or if they were like Namco Bandai simply ignore that there are problems at all. It's not really comparable to some versions of DAI not getting future unannounced DLC.

Legal? Not that I can think of, multiple cases and even recently with FFXIV that mirrors the DAI situation.

Instead of trying to make the expansion work on PS3 they decided to only offer the expansion for PS4 and PC, but they allowed PS3 owners to trade in their copy for PS4 copy so that they would have a chance to enjoy the expansion, or in this case it would be DLC.

Agreed on the free copy/discount on a next-gen version if you own the last gen version on the same family of systems, EA is already giving DAI away for "free" with EA Access so it would be no skin off of their backs.

That's a good idea to buy used. I've spent money on 6 bioware games, dlc and a good bit on me3 mp. And they want me to give them more for a product that they failed to fully support. They have the opportunity to make this right. I'll be shocked if they do.

I'm a huge fan of the DA franchise - I played and bought DAO and DA2 both multiple times, gave them as gifts, bought and played all DLC, got all the trophies for DAI on PS3 (including Hakkon); I even went to the DAI demo at DragonCon - but DA is about the only thing I play these days.  I played through a few other titles over the years, but I'm not interested in FPS or sports games.  If DAI were only available on next gen, I probably would have upgraded.  But now, if I upgrade, how much content am I getting before I have to wait for DA4?

I truly appreciate that DAI was available for PS3, and I enjoyed the heck out of my playthroughs, but I'm not sure I can justify a large investment in the upgrade for half a game.
