I posted these comments on their FB page. I really hope they will listen to their fanbase as I remember they always said their fans of their games were very important to them and they care about what we think!!
I just read that the new DLC will not be included on the PS3 is that correct?!! If so I am not going to be too happy. I can't afford a PS4 right now and to have the story end on the new gen is sooooooo unfair!!! I have played every Dragon Age game and Plat both of them. Now trying nightmare for the very first time. Hope I can do it, but to read on the internet that the rest of the story will only be on PS4 Xbox One PC it isn't right! I have also played all the Mass Effect games!
Please BioWare don't do this to us on the Inquisition. If you make new games in the Dragon Age series for new gen then so be it! But don't do it on this game!!!! Just to get people to buy the next gen when a lot of us right now can't afford it! I have been gaming since the 80's and don't plan on retiring anytime soon. Spent a lot of money on these games and I am now on a limited income so I watch what I buy. Guess I will just have to wait until they bring the price down on the PS4,. Who knows when that is going to happen!!
Sorry but when they made Inquisition they never said the dlc and updates were eventually only going to be on the next gen! I bought the deluxe edition hoping they would include some updates! I should have number 1 just bought the regular edition and 2 figured something like this would happen, but it never crossed my mind. In fact I am sure there are a lot of us out there who believed them when they said they were having more dlc for all consoles!!
So those of us who have a PS3 or Xbox360 basically won't know what is up with Solas!! You are telling us we won't be able to finish our game!! So that means I will have to watch it on youtube!!! Wow sooooo not fair!!
I am the same on a limited income I am retired and have loved gaming especially RPG's for a very long time! When I found the first Dragon Age game I was in love! Couldn't put it down and played quite a few times. Then along came Dragon Age 2 many people didn't like it, but I liked it except for the same caves and stuff over and over again. But I Ioved the story. I also played that one many times! Now along comes Inquisition I am on my 3rd play through and have put in a total so far of over 600 hours I guess you can say I am through lol! So now finding out I won't be able to finish the story it isn't frikin fair!!! BioWare I love your games so please don't do this to your loyal fan base! I can understand if you start making new games for the next gen consoles, but to start a game on PS3 and Xbox 360 and then finish it with DLC on next gen only is a big slap in the face!!! I also get tired of hearing from others that to get with the times and buy a new console. I probably will someday buy a PS4 when the price comes down. Then if I have to re-buy the game to play on the new console, well let's just say I will not be happy!! I already spent over 70 on the PS3 version! Not going to buy it over again!! Sorry for rattling on and on, but I am pretty angry right now!

When?I don't remember GTA 5 offering that. They offered GTA 5 to people who bought a next Gen game system through their website but not a free upgrade . FFXIV is the only game I know that offered an free upgrade. They should be able to trade in their copy for the current gen copy. GTA5 and Saint Row 4 did that.

I do think last gen users should get a discounted/free upgrade, but if it's good for the game then I don't see why they should apologize specifically for moving on to next-gen only. What would get me very angry would be the lack of patches for bugs in what I paid for, not lack of support for stuff that I can't buy.

I'm on the same page as you, I'm planning to upgrade to PS4 to get Mass Effect: Andromeda, but I'm not ready yet. (I can't afford it)
This is totally unfair, players that still own last gen consoles paid the same amount of money when buying the game than next gen console owners, some even a little more (I bought the Deluxe Edition), when they announced the game would be released for last gen consoles as well they never said we would be neglected like this. We paid like everyone else to be left with an incomplete game. I’m pretty sure every gamer wants a last gen console, but Guess what? Not everyone can afford it, and we shouldn’t be punished for that. I am a big fan of the Mass Effect trilogy as well as all the Dragon Age games, as a loyal Bioware costumer I feel cheated. If they released the game for last gen consoles it’s their responsibility to provide the same service to all their customers. If they were going to do this they never should’ve released the games on PS3/Xbox360 in the first place, now to play the DLCs we have to wait till we can afford a new console and we have to buy the game again! It’s a complete rip-off. Bioware should take this matter very seriously and look for solutions instead of just notifying with a just “deal with it” attitude.

Bioware and EA won't get any more of my money direct, all because of how they handled this. I got their message loud and clear: "we no longer wish to do business with you". OK, then. I'll buy all EA stamped games (if I buy any at all) used only. I will not purchase ANY dlc. I will not financially support ANY multiplayer. I am done.
Can't remember where I read it (so don't attribute this to me, it's not my idea, but I agree with it), but a person at another site mentioned that Bioware makes an effort to appeal to minorities, but when it comes to poor people, they don't care. I have supported Bioware in their efforts at diversity--that's a good thing. Giving poor people the finger? Not a good thing and hypocritical. Good thing there are lots of other publishers and developers to support. I hope they're watching and listening, because Bioware and EA sure aren't.

I think it could be kinda much to offer better version for free (amazing it'd be of course, but seems way too amazing). Buyers likely knew what they were getting with the old gen copy and figured they could be left behind... However discount for old gen owners would seem fair. How would the pull it off worldwide, if that'd happen? Probably with download codes for registered games? (Though discs tend to be favored by many, since harddrive is always running out on almost all platforms...
)
I was prepared to buy PS4 anytime soon anyway. They already got Type-0 and... ... well that's pretty much it at this point. Anyway I too think it's expensive, but most hobbies cost something, you choose your hobbies and plan budget accordingly. I always planned buying DAI for the new console too, but not before the price is preferably closer to €10 than €20. Very rare people would buy same thing twice for full price, even among hobbyists who could afford it.
The price for new DAI on PS4 around here is still about €60, used game of course for less.
Now I feel somehow content for not buying Jaws of Hakkon for PS3 yet. You had to wait for it anyway, and during that time it was easy to shift into thinking I might as well wait to enjoy it on next gen.
Otherwise I'm not sure what I'm feeling overall. Not nearly the happiest news of the week exactly. In a way it's relief, since playing old gen version was getting a bit awkward. I don't mind the nostalgia graphics, but freezing the whole console even if just occasionally made me worry for its health. It's still fine machine for most other games.

I don't know the specifics of GTA5 and SR4, but they definitely offered a free upgrade to current gen with Destiny.
Probably everyone playing on old gen has the game registered to their profile anyway. It shouldn't be that difficult to credit a digital copy to them on the new gen system of their choice.
Seriously though... if Bungie can do this, then Bioware and EA can.

This policy is disgusting and stupind if you where going to do this, why release on old gen in the first place?, at the least be consistent with the decisions you make bioware, you chose to bring the game to ps3/360, now man up and deal with it! Also their save import deal is also a big pile of BS, at least if you updated to patch 1.09, if you did then when you go to the BE the sound will glitch out and stop working for the entire game until you exit and reboot, how can we be sure this isn't going to mess up our game save export form ps3 to ps4?

I agree that EA should give last-gem console owners a free upgrade if they are cutting support to these last-gen console. This is the only honorable and right thing to do.
EA/Bioware made the decision to make this game available to last-gen. Nobody forced them to do so. They did it because at the time this game was released, there are still a huge number of last-gen consoles owner and they wanted to cash in on that.
Technical limitations? They knew well what they were getting into long ago. Current Gen and PC version of this game has already been impacted by this decision. Look at the hair, look at one of the largest city: Val Royeaux. The damage has been done. These technical limitations are already everywhere. Truth is, they milked the last-gen at launch and now that players are leaving last-gen for current-gen, there is no money to be made by continuing support for last-gen. That is the real reason they are cutting last-gen loose.
We cannot support this and we cannot accept any reason they give because the real issue here is that anyone who supports such actions from EA is supporting them to cut your platform loose when they deem it unprofitable. Consider the following scenarios:
"Oh Xbox1 sales is bad, letz just cut it loose, we will just say that we want 1080p and this is technically impossible/hard to achieve on XBox1 because we want to do this and that. We will make a cross-platform save importer for XBox1 owners to port their save file to PC or PS4."
"Oh PC sales is bad. Due to the fact that we cannot optimize the game for so many different types of hardware to deliver the best experience to our PC customer base, we have decided to dedicate all our attention to current gen consoles. PC owners will get a save exporter."
"Oh PS4 sales is bad. Ah DX12 just opens so many possibilities and now we can realize our real vision of the game with DX12. Unfortunately PS4 uses OpenGL and to give our customers the best experience and to allow our developers to utilize DX12 to its fullest to tell the story we always wanted to tell, we will give PS4 owners a save exporter."
No EA. You took their money back then because you saw the number of players still lingering on last-gen consoles. DAI does not even have a proper ending, you want to launch story DLC to expand upon DAI you cannot cut them off and expect them to pay anything for another copy of the game. You either give them a free upgrade or you spend more money and make them DLC work on last-gen even if you have to maintain two different sets of codes.
If EA/Bioware really want to go there, and since EA/Bioware has admitted that due to their greed, the current DAI is crippled, you all should also give all of us a free DAI enhanced edition - with a proper Val Royeaux to begin with.

The sad thing is that I follow Dragon Age on Twitter and saw the headline "Save Migration Feature" but didn't click on it because I thought why would this apply to me on 360 when I'm not planning to buy a new console yet. Then not until I start looking at video game sites do I see they attached a footnote of no future DLCs for old-generation systems. Why would you try to hide this information when you know it's going to make the rounds and become big news? Just have the guts to say, "Hey guys, we thought we could support all generation consoles but with limited resources working on this game now that we're preparing for Mass Effect, we found that we wouldn't have the time to make this compatible," etc. Would I still be angry? Yes, but at least it would show me that communication between marketing and fans is better. Bioware is great at talking during conventions like PAX because it's the people working directly on the games, but anything involving business or marketing is terrible.
I specifically held off on buying a new console because this game was coming out on 360. If it hadn't, I would have waited and not screwed myself over. I don't know that I want an Xbox One over a PS4, but if I want to continue on I have to get that OR I can buy the deluxe version all over again and start another 100+ hour playthrough. If there was even the slightest possibility of no DLCs for previous-gen they should have made that clear, but that probably would have deprived them of precious sales on such a large, installed base.
I love Bioware games, but with this and ME3's blunders I've also been so frustrated with them.
