I'd imagine that Mike Laidlaw, Mark Darrah and Cameron Lee at least have some pull in the situation.

I doubt it. Mike, Mark and Cameron all seem to have lofty positions from where we're standing, but they're low on the totem pole where the corporate hierarchy is concerned. Aaron Flynn, GM of Bioware Canada, is the guy this needs to get to, and unless the leads on the DA team are pretty tight with him, this isn't stuff they're going to bring.

The DA team's job is to make games. They don't set the price points, and they don't set policy. One might do better to try something like change.org petition.

I still stand by my thought that the moon will crash into the Earth first... Cats and dogs living together... mass hysteria.

Alright.. I guess it's hard to get to source of power with big companies.

Unfortunately true. At the same time consider how many people there are in Bioware, and then add in every other division of EA. That's a huge number of people to manage. Taking notes or suggestions or things passed along from the Web from even one percent is an unwieldy number. So by necessity there are cut outs, or they'd never get anything else done.

I'm not trying to excuse them. When they announced the end of patch support I got pissed since I do see that as being unethical, however, understanding how things work is the first step toward being able to use how things work.

I sucked at econ when I was in school, so I can't tell you where to start, but it's something to consider.

I did come up with something. It's a little old fashioned, but a letter writing campaign might work where trying to find an email or posting to a board might not.

The first five might not get a response, hell the first fifty might not, but you get enough people who are reasonably stating their issues in letters might get attention.

It would take some real work, but who knows?

I have seen no evidence at all that Bioware are exempt from this decision. In fact, this could have been Bioware's decision with the support of EA, instead of the other way around.

Every single bad design or decision is blamed on EA-- and I dislike them as much as anyone, but everyone acts as if Bioware are lap dogs who make no decisions for themselves and "Yes, Master" at every motion. I'm not so sure if they feel flattered when they see people defending them and blaming everything on EA, or if they feel small. Kind of sad, if you think about it.

Maybe it was EA, but maybe this was a decision made by Bioware and maybe it was a decision they didn't want to make, but did anyway.

It could work and it's quite good idea, but I wonder if there is enough old gen players anymore around to get enough letters written? Also there is somewhat high possibility that Bioware will just ignore it like they ignored petition old gen playrs did : /

Possible but sometimes having physical letters show in the mailbag is less easy to ignore than an email or a cyber petition.

But yes, it would depend on numbers. I wish I could offer more help.
