It should be five massive mechanical thresher maw ships that can combine into one big robot. We could call it KROGON: Defender of the Universe.
I would like to see a more multifaceted crew, but I have a sneaking suspicion that humans will seemingly outnumber every other species in the game combined.
Yeah, most plausible scenario, looking at what was going on Citadel. There is a lot of meta reasons for this unfortunately, add enough aliens and people start complaining that they can't remember who is who.

Well yeah, but we're talking about Krogan and not Elcor, who I do rightly fear.

Yeahh Krogan captain all the way but i would seriously wonder why all the ships the lead had the name "Bounty"
I'd like a Star Trek take on this as well with a mix of different races coming together to be your crew. After all they all left their homes together it makes sense that they'll try to work together to make things happen in Andromeda so they can survive.

Let's go hog wild! I'd love a multi-species team comprised of pretty much every species possible. Plus, although species like elcor or hanar aren't ideal of a ground team, they can still be useful crew members. The volus have a bombing fleet, right? They must be doing something right with ships.

Batarian comm specialist = accused of sending intel during lunch break (everyone want to kill the only and last batarian)
Rachni scientist = everytime someone has an owie they say 'I sat next to the rachni....so maybe....?' (everyone want to squash the bug)
Get engineer = everything is double checked and none want to play chess with the geth (everyone keep doing overtime to check for illegal hacking )
Elcore psychologist = his slow speech doesn't help with field trauma (everyone want a replacement)
Volus requisitions officer = his price are too high and is accused of selling the best piece when none is looking (everyone asking for a holding cell)

It will probably be a mixed species crew. Imagine all the new alien lifeforms we will see in Andromeda. Must be a lot of them so I believe all the old aliens will be grouped together to better focus on the new ones.

Well both do have about the same level of Mary Sue-ishness in about 99.9% of any setting they are in so I agree with you there.
It needs to be a mixed crew but knowing Bioware, it will be 100% human with the majority of npcs we run into in this new galaxy being the same without any good explanation.

Mixed I want my Turian and Krogan crewmates.
If it is a council project which seems likely then I think a mutispecies crew would make sense. Especially if they left during the reaper war in order to preserve each species.

I'd be happy with a human only crew and a human only squad, frankly. The alien characters are usually 10% characterization and 90% LOOK HOW EFFING COOL I AM.
