Hello everyone!

I've searched online for this answer but wasn't able to find it. Could someone please tell me how many years have passed between the events of Masked Empire and the Inquisition?

Some spoilers below:

EDIT: If someone could somehow explain Imshael's obsession with making others make a choice, that would be very helpful as well!

Any relative answer would be highly appreciated!

Because it identifies itself as a spirit of choice and it enjoys and even feeds upon when people make choices. It's just what it does.

Thank you for the replies everyone!

Just over a year has passed since the end of The Masked Empire and DAI.

Would you happen to know how long the events of Inquisition lasted? Was it a year? I know that when...

Gaider said a period of three to four years for Inquisition.

But I don't know if that's Bioware's official stance.

^ I thought it transpired in the end that for that quote that Tumblr had misunderstood what he said and he was actually referring to gamedevelopment time rather than the length of years in the story itself...?

The War of the Lions began just slightly before the Mage-Templar War, as depicted in Ssunder. In a codex on the Conclave, a Templar mentions it has been "a year of little more than chaos."

I have no idea how long Inquisition lasted, but a year is a good bet.

The events in Dragon Age:Inquisition took place within one year. It is stated officially somewhere, sorry I can't remember where, that Divine Victoria is crowned(this event happening at the very end of the game during the epilogue) in 9:41 Dragon, the Inquisition having begun in 9:40 Dragon.

Edit - Correction. DA:I takes place in 9:41 Dragon.
