I've already got it. It was out yesterday on Xbox One. I really like the female light armor it looks like what the cartoon pictures of a female Qunari looked like.

It did?!  How did I miss that?  First thing I'm going to do when I get home!

I think it's been removed from the store from what I can gather from other posters but I've still got the content.

Which is fine for you. :) ...and actually it's fine for me too since I happen to enjoy the SP side of the game too. What's wrong with me?

There's nothing wrong with you.  What's wrong is the game rewarding SP goodies for MP play.  Which goes against the assurances we were given when MP was announced.

But better because it doesn't have that weird boob sling.

Out of curiosity does yours tint okay? I know Biofan's didn't.

Not on my Female Qunari no but the red and blue looks good on her. It does tint on all my other characters though I'm not sure about Bull I haven't tried it on Bull yet.

Looking up close now there is a skin tone difference between the face and the body of the character as I'd gone for a mix race look and the body is more fair skinned.

Especially since they were quite adamant that THIS TIME SP and MP ABSOLUTELY won't affect each other AT ALL this time, after the ME3 debacle.

Which they clearly meant in the sense that the endings/progress would not be tied to MP in any way, shape, or form. If the ability to finish the game and/or the actual endings were suddenly affected by MP, then people would certainly be entitled to flip out - only that's not the case here at all. This is simply some fun, cosmetic fluff that doesn't affect the SP experience in any way other than giving your character a few more Skyhold customization options - something that is purely, purely cosmetic.

Personally, I find the idea of raging over this just a bit silly, but I do think it would have been a much better idea to allow SP-only players to get this reward from killing a dragon in SP or from the dragon-hunting achievement. Meanwhile, since I'm not MP averse and actually have a bunch of geared and promoted characters, I'm actually pretty happy that it won't take me much too time to get these props for free - whee!

The funny thing is... this does not encourage me to play MP. In fact, it discourages me from playing MP because it has now turned it into a chore. You must now play endless MP games to grind yourself to a level capable of defeating a dra.... ugh, no. I mean, if it was possible to solo the dragon after a bit of work or fight it with NPCs, I might do it because... well, no offense... but I don't play video game to interact with people. I do enough of that at work. I play video games to actively avoid interacting with people. Seriously. I don't answer my phone. I don't even answer the door when I'm gaming unless I've ordered food or something.

Honestly, they should really just attach it to both. If MP want to get it after defeating a dragon, then sure, put that in there. But offer the option for SP people to get it for the Dragon Hunter achievement because doing this sure as hell isn't going to get me to play MP. It's just making me look at MP much the same way as my avatar is.

And something the SP crowd as been asking for for months now.  Which is hidden behind a MP wall.

Sure.  But they didn't.  And now the only ones that are happy are the ones who don't need encouragement to do MP in teh first place, which isn't exactly the target audience here.

One game, not endless.  15 minutes if you get an experienced player to go with you.  Most people don't interact much (unless they are in an established group of friends).

Like you, I deal with people all day and I want to just go game when I get home.   I completely understand this.  On the other hand, I like the fact that, if I'm busy, I can get in 15 minutes worth of gaming with a satisfactory conclusion whereas if I fire-up SP, I'm going to get completely absorbed and forget about all the stuff I have to do.

I recommend playing an Arcane Warrior.  Leveled and geared right, they can pretty much solo anything short of MP's Nightmare mode.  Killing a Normal mode dragon is no problem.  And I sympathize, I've got some bad social anxiety myself, but you don't really have to chat in the MP, most people don't, and I rarely have to leave a group due to bossy or annoying mic people.  (But that was on PS3, I'm a little concerned about what it's going to be like in the PS4 MP, lol.)

Virtually no one uses mics on PS4, and if anyone does, you can mute them before the game starts.

It's very easy to kill a dragon in MP, as well (more responding to the post you quoted than you). It's not anything close to "endless MP games."

I'm definitely in two minds over this.

One - negative - no content in SP, however small and insignificant should ever be exclusively unlockable from MP.  Make it easier in MP?  Sure, no problem.  But never exclusive to MP.  That is not OK.

Two - meh - it's cosmetic and I rarely deviate from the race specific aesthetic stuff for Skyhold anyway.  I do it as soon as I get the one I want and then forget about it.  So this particular instance, viewed in isolation, I don't really care about.

Overall, I think the 'slippery slope' scenario needs to - not be invoked - but have an eye kept on it.  Today, it is largely irrelevant cosmetic stuff that impacts a tiny percentage of game time (how long does anyone spend in the Skyhold throne room, or the bedroom....really?)  Next week, though - SP weapon tinting from materials found in MP only? (Note - as example obviously, not something that has been suggested or anything similar).  Next month - Schematics from MP transferring to SP?  Specialisations from MP becoming accessible in SP?.....Again - not suggesting that ANY of those things are in the works, just a 'what if' exercise.

For now - I don't care (although I'm firmly opposed to the practice).  If something more significant should receive the same treatment...different story.

I'm fine with MP affecting small SP stuff. I'll also be fine when, according to the leak, you can use MP achievements as some form of currency to buy SP guns in MEA.

MP should not affect story progression or important combat/progression (such as classes gated behind MP, for example) but I quite enjoy getting bonuses in SP for MP play.

You mean I could do it wih a level 1 MP character? I don't buy that, even with an experienced group.

And for full disclosure, I did play the MP as part of the beta testing so I don't come by my opinion of MP arbitrarily. I found the elementalist to be entertaining and I dubbed him 'Rincewind' but overall the experience was pretty boring. The individual maps never really felt like they differed, the enemies on each of the maps never differed and the end was always a bit meh. It was just fight, fight, fight, end. I never felt like I achieved much of anything. It was certainly nowhere near as interesting as the real game, where I've currently completed four full playthroughs.

I mean, to be honest, I'd happily play the MP style of game as a bit of a casual thing when my brain is numb and I don't want to think but only if I could solo it or take along NPCs. That would actually be quite fun to me. Start a casual game with my character and three random NPCs from the MP selection. Now there's a marketing opportunity for Bioware!

It would be better to me, if they attached earning the dragon stuff to the Dragon Hunter achievement as well and perhaps made a requirement that you had to get all ten dragons on hard or nightmare. You wouldn't have to play the whole game on hard or nightmare, just the dragon battles. That would give an appropriate level of challenge to the whole thing. then perhaps if you get both the dragon in MP and the Dragon Hunter achievement, you could get the option to... I don't know... gild it all in gold or something. :D that would give the extra little fillip to the MP players without denying the SP only players actual game content. Because, yes, even a decor pack counts as content.

Not level one, but after one Routine (Easy) level match my character jumped up several levels. As long as you get a well leveled team (Which I find isn't hard), you can definitely do it at level 6-8 at Routine. That's how I did it.

We just carried two lvl 1 players through the new Nightmare mode and killed the dragon (mind you, they were both experienced). If you take someone up on their offer to help you, they can easily carry you through a Routine game (since the difficulty doesn't seem to matter).

We shouldn't be expected to do MP all because bioware say we have to in order to get the content, it's SP content and therefore should also be accessible to those who only want to do SP, we shouldn't have to be forced into something we don't want to do or be involved with, I could try just playing on my lonesome in MP, but I doubt I'd survive very long even on the lowest difficulty at the highest level against a dragon, that's hard to achieve in SP let alone MP, maybe if I had npc's helping me, but you can't have npc's in MP even on your own.

Yes there is though the SP item is the thing that is been called The Shiny and the MP item is a hHgh Dragon that you have to kill in MP to get The Shiny in SP.

No. Transferring does not happen here. Therefore the extract from (I assume) a FAQ is not relevant.

This makes me doubt whether I should take the other statement at face value, as context is essential when judging the precise meaning of any statement.

Because that's what we were assured going back even before the game was released.  Heck that's a big reason why I decided to risk disappointment again and purchase the game.

I have zero interest in MP.  I don't think my enjoyment of a game should be dependent on others, nor do I think other people's enjoyment of the game should depend on me.  I don't want any SP content locked behind MP, and vice versa.

Now I feel I've been lied to yet again.

Sounds like a you problem if I have to be honest.

Just gonna throw this out there again - sorta side-stepping the current debate raging at the moment - and reiterate that if anyone on PS4 wants the Dragon Props but doesn't really want much to do with MP, I am fully capable and willing to breeze you through the one match required. Takes about 15-20 minutes at most, usually less as I am carrying folks through the easiest difficulty setting. I helped two people tonight and it was very nice hearing their thanks and excitement about their new toys (and one actually seemed to enjoy the MP match, too, so maybe she'll come play again).

You can message me here or on PSN: DragonRacer13. I promise I don't bite (much or too hard; well, unless that's your thing and you really want me to).

Need to make sure you download "Destruction" and "Dragonslayer" MP DLCs. They're both free.
