It doesn't need to be, no.

But if you're someone who plays Bioware's games because you think they make the best single player RPGs (still a position I hold) it's hard not to be resentful of them putting content that has RP value behind a wall of MP participation that you had, have, and will continue to have, no interest in. Especially when that very action is so fraught with bad memories (ME3 war assets).

Again, I think using the MP to progress certain things in the SP is a fine idea, as long as you're able to progress in things in SP to the same extent by doing SP things as well. I think you should be able to get this from killing dragons in MP. You just need to be able to get it from killing dragons in SP as well.

That's the situation where everybody wins.

Mass Effect 3 actually did this well outside of galactic readiness. All the MP trophies had SP stuff you could also do to fulfill it. If Tomb Raider and Assassin's Creed games functioned the same way I'd have a lot more Platinum trophies to my name.

Has anyone else been playing on PS4 and after defeating dragons on multiplayer the dragon props don't unlock?

I believe you need to exit the game completely then go back in and it'll be there automatically in the undercroft, don't believe there's any pop-up to say you got it.

Not only do I completely agree with this, I feel annoyed that there's no way to get these from SP even though I went through the effort of slaying all ten High Dragons -- including the last one three times on account of the glitched trophy/achievement. I mean, honestly, nothing for those of us who have done our fair share of dragon vanquishing in singleplayer?

I have no interest in multiplayer, and even if I did I have crappy internet and those of us on PS4 have to buy a subscription to PS+ to even be allowed to use multiplayer. Not cool. And since that money wouldn't go to EA anyway, it's not even the same as having this be paid DLC.
