I can live without this stuff it's not like I spend a lot of time in Skyhold admiring the décor but it's so annoying when content is locked behind MP. I just can't stand it. Not everyone is the same but there are so many rude ignorant morons online that you end up getting matched with. I don't have any friends that play online either so that's not an option. I also don't wanna chug up my SSD with the Dragonslayer DLC.

 

Like I said I can live without it but if this was armour or weapons, I would be seething. This is exactly the opposite direction they said they would go after the MEMP fiasco. 

 

 

Yeah. I can understand stuff being locked behind a group wall in multiplayer games, but in a single player one? It makes absolutely no sense considering the unlock is for SP only.

 

Well okay it does make sense if the intention is that someone is hoping that by forcing people who want this to play MP, we might spend cash one some chests...

The game is more than just a story. If it wasn't I could just read the book.

Nope. But when I play something like SWTOR I expect a bunch of stuff being behind group content, it goes with the game type. But DA:I being a single player game and thus I expect an unlock for SP being unlockable in SP.

Obviously someone decided to change that.

Hopefully they sell these in the next DLC (I don't think it's unfair to require in-game currency or multiplayer to unlock).

 

The Last Court stuff was bad enough, but at least that's still a solo experience.

That said, I don't really buy into the claim that this impacts the "MP separate from SP" thing. It's an aesthetic trophy, not a mission or consequence improvement.

I'm soloing SWTOR right now. I tried one group match thing and everyone was like SPACEBAR!!!! when I'd never even heard the story before, they all ran around like maniacs knowing exactly what they were doing and then they started screaming at another noob because he didn't know what to click on to progress. Now I just buy what I want with Cartel Coins and play it for the story with the social window turned off.

Eh. I won't be getting any of these since I don't do multiplayer, but I don't think it's worth getting bent out of shape. The dragon decor is kind of over-the-top in my opinion.

If you are at all curious about MP, but are hesitant because of the people you might find there, it's really not that bad.  Leave voice off, and everyone is sunshine and lollipops!  They have just added a solo tutorial level, so you can learn how to play without worrying about embarrassing yourself.  Heck, I've been playing for about 6 months now, and I suck, but I have a blast.  Join us...we have golden nugs

I love how there is an actual War Table mission after you kill your first High Dragon in SP where you can display it as a trophy, and yet you don't get anything. But if you kill a High Dragon in MP, your entire castle can get decorated with dragon stuff. What's with that?

PS4 player here. If you want to get these Dragon Props, but you haven't played MP or are otherwise inexperienced in it, please send me a PM here. I would be more than happy to friend request you and pull you into a quick, easy Routine Fereldan Castle dragon fight and help you get your Props. If I can also grab a few of my buddies at the same time, we may even steamroll you through a Threatening or Perilous dragon fight.

 

I'll help as many people as I can craft Dragon Calls for. If I run out of cloth, there's not much to be helped for that but will do my best to restock to do more dragon hunts.

Please note: you WILL need to download and install the following two free DLCs or you won't be able to access Fereldan Castle in MP (or me, since I have the DLCs) - "Destruction" and "DragonSlayer". Both are in the Playstation Store and are absolutely free. Just may take you a little while to download/install first.

 

 

I... am not interested in multiplayer. I haven't even touched it. But I want this.

 

What is that they're saying about being able to take on the challenge alone? Or is that something I should forget about unless I level up a MP character (or however that works...)?

But for real, I'm not mad or even annoyed that they did it this way. I think it's pretty cool. It might even get me to try MP, which I'm sure is the whole point. But... I'm curious about my options here. As I said, I haven't touched MP, so I'm not certain how this works.

 

I would not recommend trying to solo it. Especially if you've never played before. MP is very dependent on unlocking good gear and promoting to increase your stats. Trying to solo Fereldan Castle with a brand new account will just frustrate the hell out of you. If you're on PS4, feel free to reach out to me for help and I'll carry you.

Yeah, finding games can be a little bit ... difficult depending on your location.

I have all the dlc's yes, it's not finding a game that's the issue. It's connecting to the game/server/host? after it's found me one. It connection errors me out then goes unresponsive before I can load in or "join" every single time. Like i said, I've been trying for months and always patched and have all mp dlc's available at the time. I don't know the proper words for it.
