I have all the dlc's yes, it's not finding a game that's the issue. It's connecting to the game/server/host? after it's found me one. It connection errors me out then goes unresponsive before I can load in or "join" every single time. Like i said, I've been trying for months and always patched and have all mp dlc's available at the time. I don't know the proper words for it.
Try to host your own game and wait for people to join. Maybe that will work.

What they should have done is that you can alternatively unlock this stuff if you kill all 10 dragons in SP. That way it isn't exclusively locked behind MP mode.
Yes, I am confused as to why that is not an alternative option.
Other than I assume they're trying to get more people to try MP. But forcing them to do so to gain SP content (even just cosmetic) simply makes anti-MP folks push back harder and get angrier. Folks who are MP-curious have likely tried it out already, after all.

Having never played mp before I'm barely brave enough to join someone else's server/game thing. Sadly, it may be the only option I've got left, which sucks as a noob with no interest in actually playing mp much. Maybe I can find some friends to help me out in this case.. *sighs* be nice if it wasn't such a hassle lol.

Hey, folks!
PS4 player here. If you want to get these Dragon Props, but you haven't played MP or are otherwise inexperienced in it, please send me a PM here. I would be more than happy to friend request you and pull you into a quick, easy Routine Fereldan Castle dragon fight and help you get your Props. If I can also grab a few of my buddies at the same time, we may even steamroll you through a Threatening or Perilous dragon fight.
I'll help as many people as I can craft Dragon Calls for. If I run out of cloth, there's not much to be helped for that but will do my best to restock to do more dragon hunts.
You can message me here or on PSN: DragonRacer13
Please note: you WILL need to download and install the following two free DLCs or you won't be able to access Fereldan Castle in MP (or me, since I have the DLCs) - "Destruction" and "DragonSlayer". Both are in the Playstation Store and are absolutely free. Just may take you a little while to download/install first.
I would not recommend trying to solo it. Especially if you've never played before. MP is very dependent on unlocking good gear and promoting to increase your stats. Trying to solo Fereldan Castle with a brand new account will just frustrate the hell out of you. If you're on PS4, feel free to reach out to me for help and I'll carry you.
Or we can do it here?
Thanks for the information and the offer for help! (That goes for everyone offering to help! You are all awesome!)
I haven't decided if I will try it yet, but I will definitely keep this thread in mind (I'm on PC though, so yeah). ![]()

This. A ton of people like cosmetic stuff in single player, and a lot of those people seem rather cranky already that they have to play mp to get this particular cosmetic. That's basing off this thread so far. I'm only frustrated because I can't get mp to work. I need one more friend online to try Zehealingman's suggestion, I'm not good with strangers but got reminded that we've tried me as host before and it didn't work. *sigh* oh well, worth trying again.

I guess this is one DLC I won't be getting because, you know, I tried MP in the two rounds of beta testing for patches and... I still don't get it. I don't get the fascination for MP. It's... boring. No matter what the map, it's just fight, fight, fight, fight, end. Lather, rinse, repeat. I mean, after a couple of games, it just becomes... dull. Even tedious. And I was playing with good people who were a lot of fun but they could only mitigate the tedium so much. I mean, I did enjoy playing the Elementalist. I called him 'Rincewind' because all he needs is the Luggage and a hat with 'Wizzard' on it and he is Rincewind. But I'm not sure I can summon the interest in it long enough to level up a character enough to get this DLC and I'm in a weird timezone so finding people who aren't douchebags to play with would probably be a problem.
I really do hope that they also make this available for killing all the High Dragons in the SP. Because I think it's unfair to deny it to people like me who have tried MP and can genuinely say that have no interest in it and aren't just against MP for no reason than 'I don't like it'.

I'm soloing SWTOR right now. I tried one group match thing and everyone was like SPACEBAR!!!! when I'd never even heard the story before, they all ran around like maniacs knowing exactly what they were doing and then they started screaming at another noob because he didn't know what to click on to progress. Now I just buy what I want with Cartel Coins and play it for the story with the social window turned off.
Sounds really familiar
You're definitely not the only one soloing swtor with the social window off.
Only difference is when I decided to play SWTOR, I expected to have to suffer through MP content if I wanted to experiment the whole thing (not only story but also customization/cosmetics) since it is a MMO. When I play Dragon Age I expect to have it all while playing SP, since... y'know... it's a single player game...

I'm sure others have already made the offer but I'm on PC and have everything necessary to run through some dragons should anyone care to join me
Message me here or add me (Ispan_SB) on Origin and we can get it done quickly and painlessly!

It's a slippery slope they're on.
Today it's skyhold upgrades, next it's unlock quest content, new companions etc....
Meanwhile back it CDPR they have 16 bits of free content to give out regardless. New quests, new gear, new hairstyles. That is gaming is a service.

Do you have mods? If so, do you remove modded patch before going into mp? That may cause problems.
That's the only advice I have, sorry for not being more helpful.

I've never used mods for anything other then Skyrim, so sadly not a help for me but a good check since a lot of people do use mods.
S'all good, I'll keep fighting with daimp support over a fix so I can at least get one dragon run in, though at the rate it's going if I get it fixed I'll need a carry for it after all this hassle, rofl. Luckily I know some rather nice mp players willing to do so if I get this issue fixed.

...Nobody should be freaking out about this. It would be one thing if they were locking out story content or equipment, but this is purely cosmetic. Get over it.
*Boots up MP for the first time*
I don't know about freaking out but it's locking out something that only appears in single-player anyway once unlocked. So I won't just "get over it". The least that could be done other than not doing this in the first place is to give a single-player alternative as well. For example the existing high dragons that the Inquisitor fights in SP like other people have already suggested.

Are you really so invested in a few Skyhold knickknacks that you feel justified making a fuss over having to play a game mode you don't like to get them?I don't know about freaking out but it's locking out something that only appears in single-player anyway once unlocked. Because that's what we're talking about here. It's incredibly petty.

I don't think it's that difficult to give people a way to acquire this though single-player as well. There are about 10 high dragons in SP which more than covers how many dragons would need to be defeated in the "Ferelden Castle map" according to the first post in this thread.

I'm not the least bit interested in the knickknacks or MP, but just wanted to thank those who offered their time to help people get this in MP.
As for SP content being locked behind MP.. yeah it's pretty cheap, but it's become about what I expect from BiowEAr these days. not a bit surprised.

No. Cannot. I would have to play an entirely different game (DAI multiplayer) to gain access to it. If I play the game I like to play (DAI single player) I will never be able to access it. Again, I'd happily fork over cold, hard cash for this, but I am not going to go play some other game I have no interest in just to get it.
No, choose not.
This is a MP perk, available at no (additional) cost, to those who have the desire/ability/patience to obtain it.
It has ZERO impact on those who don't want to play MP.
None. Nada.
If you're a SP-only player (as am I) then it doesn't affect you. So why the whinging?
Isabela doesn't appear in SP either. Should that mean the MP folk shouldn't have the option?
