No, choose not.

This is a MP perk, available at no (additional) cost, to those who have the desire/ability/patience to obtain it.

It has ZERO impact on those who don't want to play MP.

None.  Nada.

If you're a SP-only player (as am I) then it doesn't affect you. So why the whinging?

Isabela doesn't appear in SP either.  Should that mean the MP folk shouldn't have the option?

Oh, I see.  Okay, I'll just go enable those dragon themes in Skyhold without... oh wait, I cannot, I cannot impact my Skyhold decor with them without playing MP first.  Which is something I should never have to do to enable anything in SP.  So yes, it does have an impact on my SP experience.  It's actually an SP perk for doing something in MP.  I should, again, never have to touch MP at all to enable all possible SP perks.

I don't know why you mentioned Isabela as she has nothing to do with this and is a totally different situation.  She doesn't appear in SP, and nothing I could do in MP (even if I were inclined to play MP)  would make her appear in SP.  So yeah, that's an apples and armadillos comparison.

Now, before someone gets the wrong impression, I have nothing against MP at all.  Bioware says they don't detract from one another budget and development wise, and I have no reason to disbelieve that.  In fact, they say MP helps them test combat for SP, so cool.

Xbox Live and I assume PS+ is required to play DAMP on consoles. Some people don't have it.

You can 12 month subscription for XBL for $60 US and it's $50 for PSN.

You can also get a 3 month subscription for XBL for $25 and $20 for PSN.

Conversely, they are forcing me to play SP if I want to access content I earned on MP. *shakes fist* Darn you, Bioware!!!!!

*Ducks the debris flying in her direction*  :P

I  would prefer this to Qunari stuff!

And why only armor and no weapons for any of these dlcs. Mounts? and décor? Don't care about that - I want weapons along with the armor!

No, it's a MP perk.  You want it?  You earn it in MP.

It represents having accomplished something in MP.

You don't want to play MP?  No problem.  You don't get the MP perks.

How does that, in any way, detract from the experience of the SP-only player?

Oh?  You can't SEE it except in SP?  But... but... only YOU can see your SP game anyway.

That's why it's called SINGLE player.

So it affects other SP folk not at all.

Do you complain about the game-ownership badges under people's avatars?

Those are more in-your-face, but don't seem to raise anyone's ire.

Right, so we ended up getting MP combat mechanics in SP. I'm not a fan.

You can also get a 3 month subscription for XBL for $25 and $20 for PSN.

Or they could go buy some other game like TW3 for their $50 and never have to pay another dime.

But hey 'm a dirty PC playing peasant, so none of my business ;)

For some reason the hanging skin drapery really creeps me out.

I have no plans to get this, but luck to those that want it!

I'm annoyed that you have a Mass Effect icon whereas I don't even though I bought the game. ;)

But yeah people need to simmer down over this. Yes, it's obviously a ploy to get people to play MP, but does this surprise anyone? This is EAware we are talking about. Us SP only players should just say fine, we don't need your ugly-a$$ decorations anyway :P

Between this and the Qunari decorations I'm getting an itch to play again.  Haven't done multiplayer since the first couple of weeks but maybe I can bungle through it.  I hope.  D:

You say "ploy".  I say "incentive".  What's wrong with that?

People appreciate being given somethin'-fer-nuthin', even when both parties know that's not really the case.

So, let your art director go wild, BioWare!  And people looking for a way to feed their inner interior decorator will thank you, (as will EA's accounting department if it translates into more micro-transactions in MP.)

It's content I cannot access.  Doesn't really matter what it is, it's the principle.

You need to play one freaking game. Seriously. Anyway, if you can't because you don't have PSN/Xbox Live, well, I'm sorry. Otherwise, come on.

In my opinion it should be reward for killing all ten High Dragons, but well.

Still, it's pretty cool and I may try to acquire it. Somehow...

I imagine it's not retroactive. Guess I'll need to kill another dragon.
But I totally support being able to get this for killing 10 high dragons. That makes more sense, and makes it accessible to everyone.

It's not a reward for killing dragons.  It's a reward for killing dragons IN MULTI-PLAYER!

It's not supposed to be "accessible to everyone".  That would kinda' defeat the whole point.

Then they should keep rewards for killing MP dragons in multiplayer and stay the hell out of SP.

People complain that Bioware doesn't advertise their new content, then Bioware advertises their new MP content with this incentive and people still aren't happy

1000X This!

I also like the idea someone suggested kill all the high dragons in sp to get this stuff.

Keep your mp outta my sp...gah I never thought I'd have to say that again. sigh

I beat a dragon in multiplayer, exited the game and came back, but it's not in my skyhold customization. Yes I have the update

Why make MP a requirement and not killing a SP dragon? Seems like it should be either/or, not exlusive to one.

Oh, look, MP-only decorations. Now what that reminds me of... (grumble)

This would work in MMO. But DAI is not a MMO-model, this is an SP model - you buy the game, there's an unspoken agreement you'd be able to get everything for the game. Every item pack, every last DLC.

Now this unspoken agreement's been broken. What's next, group-only story content, like Oricon and the Dread Masters?

Honestly, I'm not comfortable with this.

Ermmm... The MP stuff *is* "out of your SP".  In your SP game you will never use it, see it, or be affected by it.

So, BioWare is letting you do exactly what you (say you) want, and you're still whinging?

Oh, now I get it.  You're upset that other people have the ability to affect their SP games in a way you don't want/choose to affect yours. <facepalm>

Someone should make a support thread where groups of 3 experienced players can take single noobs to slay a dragon... or something.

Happy to run any players through Xbox One if they want it.  RedShirt Quin is my gt.  Don't worry, though, I don't die nearly as often as my name would suggest.

I still need 15 Routine dragon kills for that stupid challenge, so send me a friend request if you want to unlock that Skyhold stuff on PC. You only have to ready up and can afk the rest of the game.

I really want this dragon set but I don't do online gaming, never have done, never well, it's not the way I like to play games, I love dragons and really want them in my skyhold, but I can't get it because of it only being available by doing multiplayer, I find this completely unfair, please release it for single player too, even if we have to do something to earn it, just make it possible for single players to get hold of it as well.

Having never played mp before I'm barely brave enough to join someone else's server/game thing. Sadly, it may be the only option I've got left, which sucks as a noob with no interest in actually playing mp much. Maybe I can find some friends to help me out in this case.. *sighs* be nice if it wasn't such a hassle lol.

This is the way I felt when playing ME3.  I had never been a multiplayer online gamer before.  Wasn't really interested.  But ME3MP got me hooked.  Not sure what platform you are on but if it's Xbox One, I'd be happy to play a few games with you.
