So some of you may heard by now, Xbox 360 and PS3 will NOT be getting anymore DLC. Bioware will only be releasing it for current gen and PC they are supposedly making some system that will allow you to import your save data to next gen (I doubt it will transfer ALL the hours spent in the game). But here's my question, are you going to be paying for my new copy of the game bioware? Something tells me No. What about my pre-order bonus? will I get screwed out of those because now I have to buy a new copy for current gen if I want to remain involved with DLC? Shows how much bioware cares.

Past-Gen couldn't handle their plans for the next DLC. Sacrificing past-gen to ensure DLC is what it should be is much better than dumbing down, compesating, or removing content just to 'make it work' for all platforms.
Also, we need even more threads on this topic.

What happens if I purchased DLC packs on my PlayStation®3 system or Xbox 360 console?
- PlayStation® systems:
- If you purchased the Jaws of Hakkon or Spoils of the Avvar DLC pack on your PlayStation®3 system, you can download them on your PlayStation®4 system using the same SEN/PSN account at no additional charge.
- If your savegame from your PlayStation®3 system included these DLC packs, you must have them on your PlayStation®4 system to load your imported savegame data.
- Xbox consoles:
- If you purchased the Jaws of Hakkon or Spoils of the Avvar DLC pack on your Xbox 360 console, you can download them on your Xbox One console using the same gamertag at no additional charge.
- If your savegame data from your Xbox 360 console included these DLC packs, you must have them on your Xbox One console to load your imported savegame data.

It would have handled them if Bioware wanted it.
DLC is lot better isn't really helping people who are left without. Actually it makes me feel worse.

Don't forget that it's also assuming that financial reasons weren't the actual reason. That makes me feel worse for you guys if that was true

Half true, half bullsh*t. Big story DLC? Sure. Qunari spoils that add a few new statues and a throne and 2 new armors that aren't even complexly designed? The last gen versions can't handle that? Goddamn nonsense.

Also upcoming multiplayer and armor pacs. There is nothing that makes those two heavy for old gen. Seriously it's just Bioware wanting to cut off old gen consoles from their plans.

They and EA really are untrustworthy, aren't they?
pre-release: last gen will be fully supported and all you'll be missing is some graphical quality, it's still going to be the complete DAI experience!
post-release: last gen is irrelevant, and it's simply too inconvenient to keep supporting you. So we're cutting you off, thanks for the money.
It's less me complaining and more just annoyed that they well and truly have lied to last gen owners, played us like a fiddle and cut our strings. If they planned to do this, they could have had the integrity to at least be up front about it.

Right, and I'm sure that Spoils of the Qunari was just too big in size and scope for the old gen consoles to handle.
Wait.

What I said. Yeah, that throne and naked statues and arishok armor are soooooo difficult. Remember what happened whenever the Arishok came on screen in DA2 on last gen consoles? The game would drop to 5 frames per second. Now imagine a whole party wearing it!
...Oh wait, no. That didn't happen.

While I sympathize to my last-gen brethren — until last fall I was one of you — the important thing here is that I personally benefit.
Not sure if serious since some people are saying the same things and are completely serious.
I am boycotting the dlc since I think this is a terrible business practice

Are there enough threads about this? NO! NO THERE ARE NOT! It is BS complete and utter BS. They are coming up with ways to transfer the save data...right I doubt it will transfer all the hours and time and decisions everyone sank into their games on last gen, second although I DO have a PS4 at present I didn't last year when the game came out so I am making a big deal, I still play/use my PS3 but I don't have the money to just go out and buy a new copy for my PS4 ontop of the money to get DLC and the pr-order bonus' I had for free with my deluxe edition?! That's one issue, some people have to buy a new gen console too! So bioware is saying "you have to go out and buy a new consolde AND a new copy of the game, AND the DLC" are you KIDDING ME?!

DLC does transfer over tho

How many threads do we need on this?
As many as it takes until Bioware changes their policy on incessantly screwing over/pissing off their fanbase at every opportunity. Which has been in place since....oh, 2012 I reckon. If you want something changed, make enough of a fuss about it until something happens.

They're not changing this policy, at best EA could always people to trade in their games for the next gen version

If enough people made an uproar about it, (including the press), oh I guarantee you they'd change their stance on this. I'm not saying this will happen but numbers make a difference my friend. Just take a look at the ME 3 ending debacle. Do you think the ending would have gotten an extended cut if just a single thread had been made on the front page of the ME 3 board complaining about it?
I need not explain further.

They're not gonna change their stance if the reason is because last gen can't handle it anymore

If I was still on PS3 I'd be pretty furious about this, but I just got a PS4 so I guess all I can say to my previous-gen brethren is that this sucks. It's straight-up shitty to leave people hanging like this with no more story DLC.
At the same time--and I realize I'm being selfish here--I'm kind of glad that future DA:I content won't be hamstrung, and I'm excited as hell for it. The game looked terrible and was buggy as hell on PS3 and never should've been released on it at all.
I'm so conflicted; this is shady as hell, and yet I'm totally going to buy into it anyway. I really hope BioWare says more about this. Whose call was it to put the game out on previous-gen consoles, theirs or EA's? Whose call was it to cut off previous-gen players, theirs or EA's, and why did they do it?

In response to the bolded part, it's always EA's call when it comes to sales decisions and marketing. EA develops and publishes games under several labels (studios, divisions call it what you will). Bioware, Ghost Games (need for speed 2013-present), Criterion Games (need for speed 2010-2013), EA Sports, EA Maxis (I just checked up on them and EA closed that studio down in march, ouch). There's likely many more I can't remember. Anyway everything goes through Electronic Arts, inc for marketing, sales, timeframes and budgets, just developed by different studios (could also be called teams) it owns (and employs), and can tell them what to do as it wants to and even shut down *points back at her Maxis note *. Long windedness was just to show how much control EA does have over it's studios.
