Screw the DLC for Xbox 360 and PS3, Im still want that DLC for the PS1 and N64, Petition incoming!
It's really sick how Bioware has ignored the Atari gamers.

Give the last genners the costume junk packs they're dishing out.
But if Bioware wants to realize their ideas for upcoming Story DLC, and the last gen would force them back? So be it. I don't approve of dropping support on a game this way, it would have been better if last gen never got the game.

And then they'd be whining that they didn't get it. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Really? We would? If Dragon Age Inquisition - like Mass Effect Andromeda, for example - was announced to only be released on Xbone, PS4, and PC, most people would have accepted that and bought one of those systems to play it.
However, since it was released on 360 and PS3, expecting to be treated fairly and get access to continued content is "whining".
Lolkay.

You don't know that. It's not fair to make generalizations of everyone that had a problem with this. Some of us are in agreement that old gen should have never been given ports.
I agree. Many people wouldn't have cared if it wasn't released on the PS3/360. The issue is, the game was released on those consoles because, financially, they were too afraid to commit to the next-gen systems wholly. So, eight months of "We couldn't do this, and we wish could have done that" later, they decide to finally commit to next-gen completely.
If the game was held back so much, why wait 8 months? You released your game, you released your first major DLC, and your item pack, you made the majority of the money the game is going to make. The timing is just bad.
I'm going to make a generalization now, how about this one. All the people saying "About time", think about it rationally, if 20 months ago they'd decided to commit wholly to next-gen, the game, that is the base game not the last piece(s) of DLC, would have had all those improvements they've touted. In addition to that, I can guarantee you there'd be a lot less people complaining if they'd committed from the start to the new systems.
Here's the difference between the PS1, and the PS3 and PS4 as it relates to this. Two of those systems have something in common, DA:I and the first sets of DLC were released for two of them, and not the other. The timing of the announcement is just as much an issue, or more of an issue to some, than the actual announcement. This wasn't something that was brought up prior to the game's release, right after release, after the first DLC etc. It was sat on for at least a while, and that's part of the reason people are mad.
If you want to defend BW, go ahead. If you think your take on it right, you're welcome to that. The fact of the matter is, their shortsightedness on the issue alienated some fans, and, according to devs, made the game worse than it needed to be.
Lots of games come out on systems people don't own. I can't speak for everyone, but that's a fact of life, it happens, no big deal. Stopping support for a game's DLC 8 months into a lifespan is exceedingly rare (as in, we've counted 3 examples across this board since the issue arose), and that's the major issue at play.

I don't know how long you've been on the BSN Trask, but I've been with this community since before this site and the legacy forums were even around. Nothings changed. So yes, I do know that people would have been outraged if Bioware forsook the last gen consoles altogether.

Except you've still yet to show me where you are entitled to DLC coverage. You got what you paid for, your expectations are just that - expectations. There was never a guarantee you'd get a single piece of dlc. Throwing a tantrum on the forums isn't going to change that.

We both buy a game. DLC is released for said game. For no fault of my own, I am shut out of buying said DLC.
But no, dude, that's totes cool. Be more of a condescending ass, please. I hear that really scores with the *insert gender of your preference here*

Because complaining about generational privilege on a forum scores with the opposite gender?

Because you have 10 year old hardware that probaly won't run the DLC. I have said this before and I'ss say it again support means patches bugfixes and help with technical issues. Support does not mean new content. We all paid the same amount for the game. Should I get less {being on a pc) so they can accomdate your old hardware? The game struggles to run on old gen as is.

Because sucking off Bioware gets you discounts on new games?

So you shouldn't get less, but I should.
There's a term for that... what is it... oh yeah, being an entitled douche.

Only if you're good at it.
How about we avoid throwing insults
Why can't they just scale some things down on old gen DLC? They already did that with the full game. Of course old gen isn't expecting everything to play on par with new gen. Players know they're not getting as much as new gen. We accept that. We want to finish the story of the game we purchased less than a year ago!
If this DLC is the end of Inquisition's story its absurd not to let us finish it.

Some would, not all of us. That's the only thing I wanted to clarify here.

Because then you are making two separate DLCs. Current gen peeps didn't get a different vanilla game, after all.

Says the dude who comes into these threads solely to belittle people who are affected by this decision.

Keep throwing immature and childish insults around. Because frankly at this point unless you upgrade your not getting it. I am done with you.

Please show me quotes of me doing so

Is this the new 'give us more romances for straight guys' topic?

Now now, we can't be insulting. Unless you're insulting people who are affected by this change. Then that's completely cool.
