For some reason, this thought just would not go away until I started this thread. I want to know what you all would have for your inquisitor's personal description of the specialization. This is in the vein of of the companions (if you can remember those).

Here is mine: Evelyn Trevelyan was a woman who was used to doing things her way. She kept blades hidden just in case she needed them. If years of being the youngest, and something of the black sheep, of House Trevelyan taught her anything, it was that she needed to always make the first move, whether it be a well placed arrow/blade, or word, in stealth or from a height. (assassin Spec).

"Fen'asha was always the tinkerer in her clan, fascinated with traps made from string and twigs, the workings of the clan's aravels utterly fascinated her. With the resources of the Inquisition at her hands, she turned her fascination into a deadly battlefield strategy."

Give me time. I'll probably do this later, but not right now. And my current character is done with all 3 spec quests, and I can't decide between champion and reaver... So I can't even do theirs yet for this topic.

Tal-Adaar (true weapon) has always thought that using a two handed weapon shouldn't mean that you should focus only on offense, it's better to surprise enemies by being a very well defended fighter despite using a weapon typically used by aggressive fighters. As a champion, she is possibly the most well guarded two handed weapon master in Thedas. Perfect defense with the most brutal weapon type is a dangerous combination... For her enemies.

Lukas Trevelyan (1) was well versed in all of the magic taught by the circle, but after receiving the mark, it started becoming evident that his powers are starting to take a new shape. It wasn't until he was trapped alone in a cave after the assault on Haven when his new powers started surfacing, as he opened a fade rift that sucked the demons who attempted to attack him.

After settling in Skyhold, Lukas sent for someone who can understand these new powers. Through training with Your Trainer and consulting with Solas, he started developing rift magic, gaining almost full control over them, and prevented the loss of his old powers.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Lukas Trevelyan (2) studied math and engineering while staying at his family's castles. His acquaintances would try to invite him to parties and outings, but he'd refuse, stay at home and try to craft something functional. He had always wanted to create a crossbow of his own, and learning how to use it, however it was no easy task. Days after days of trying and failing started frustrating him, but didn't stop him. During one of his family's parties his former engineering teacher noticed Lukas in his room tinkering with a barely functional crossbow. He conversed with Lukas, and Lukas opened up to him about his frustrations. The man offered Lukas to teach him how to fire a bow, and promised that once he got the hang of it, he'll begin to understand how a crossbow works as well, and it'll help him master his creation.

Months of training left Lukas as an extremely skilled marksman, and with all the fun he had with the bow, he forgot about his crossbow work.

It wasn't until moving to Skyhold till Lukas regained his interest in engineering and crafting. A letter from Leliana recommending specialization trainers had the name of the famed Three-eyes, a master artificer. Immediately he called for him, and trained in ways of an artificer. His background and knowledge made him a fast learner, and he learned numerous crafts that could help him in battle, and while he still hasn't crafted his crossbow yet, he still intends to do it.. someday.

They may not be Orlesian, but that doesn't mean the Trevelyans haven't always valued the honour, valor and leadership a nobleman should embody. Though a mage, Maxwell thought no differently. As Andraste taught, magic exists to serve man, and Maxwell always sought to use the gifts the Maker gave him to help others as best he could. What better way to do so, and embody the traits of an ideal noble, than as a Knight-Enchanter, using his talents to defend his homeland and its inhabitants? The rebellion may have disrupted his plans in that respect, but as Inquistor he has far more than a single city to defend, and many more thousands to lead. He is an image, an icon, a leader, and for Maxwell there is no better exemplar of a powerful, inspiring leader than one who leads from the front, who shrugs off normally fatal attacks without harm, and who slays the forces of darkness with a blade of pure benevolent spirit. Stolen from the elves such magic may be - but how matters that, given the power it projects? A tool is only as good as the one using it, after all.

Some of these are long... Really long. And I felt like mine was too long. Remember, this is supposed to be that little blurb on your character's skill tree screen, not an entire codex entry.

I'm trying to come up with a clever and interesting way to say my Lavellan chose to become a Templar because Corypheus was a Mage and it just made sense.

Maxwell Trevelyan during his chantry teachings as a child was always more fascinated by stories of when the crows were a arm of the chantry then the templar order. This of course was used in his youth as justification for his sneaky nature, now he has the opportunity to be just as the assassins he read about. While not a crow Her showed him how to be one with the shadows and strike quickly and quietly. Now the man who became a herald then a inquisitor is now a assassin who is soon to be a new legend.

Decided to restart, with a warrior. Here are the ideas for the specs:

  • Reaver-"Arielle Trevelyan always loved a good fight. She sought to prove to her family that she can be a true warrior without devoting her life to the Chantry as a Templar."
  • Champion-"Despite being devout in her faith, Arielle thought that the Templars were weak. She sought to learn to mix offense and defense and managed to become close to winning a local tourney in her town of Ostwick, earning her family pride and herself a few admirers. After all, it is good to be Champion."
  • Templar-"A devout in the chantry, Arielle became a Templar in hope of finding her purpose in life, despite her family's desire for her to marry into a nice family. The will to help others, in her mind, is worth the sacrifice of her own independence."

Not sure which Spec to go right now.
