Safe to assume we'll have a powerful character editor at our disposal again. What are you aiming to make your Shepard Andromedian look like?
Me, something like this picture.

It will depend entirely on the voices available.
That Russian chick from Pacific Rim.
hopefully they have someone like sheploo again. The high rez model/actor would be awesome. I absolutely detest character creation. It took me over a day in DA:I because the default faces were not to my liking. Having a new game, and not being able to play it for over a day because you can't stand looking at your main character is really quite painful.
Mass Effect was perfect for me, just because I play male characters. But as long as BW does something like ME3 for male/female versions of the PC, I'll be happy. If it's like DA:I, I'll be devastated and probably skip straight to the multiplayer

I am strongly of the opinion that all of the defaults need to be editable using the character creator. If they give us a default that's just perfect, except for the facial hair (or skintone, or jawline, or whatever), I'd like to be able to tweak it.
An immutable default would be extremely annoying.
I'm 100% with you here.I am strongly of the opinion that all of the defaults need to be editable using the character creator. If they give us a default that's just perfect, except for the facial hair (or skintone, or jawline, or whatever), I'd like to be able to tweak it.

I wouldn't say the editor in the former ME games are powerful. They are fine with all the mods online, but this game is made with Frostbite, so probably won't support mods.
And I always use John Default Shepard. The default male looks fine, but the female looks nothing like the one in the posters.
depends on the options really tbh but my usual go to ideas when it comes to creating heroes to play in Bioware's games tend to come from shows like Star Trek, Buffy or the Charmed series really as they are some of my favourite shows to watch and I have them on DVD. So i tend to envision those as the kinds of people that my Hero and his or her team would be like given that Buffy and the Charmed sisters and that were seen as heroines themselves.
I will also go with a Starship Troopers inspired design. Tech expert confirmed.

depends on what creation tools are available but I am very fond of my femsheps. Most usually end up looking the same with different hair colours or styles. If possible I may try and remake a femshep.
I think Bioware should give us the option to have the default femshep and default maleshep faces imported and our own custom Sheps so that way if we want to keep the same face......heck we can and maybe customize/tweak them a little bit instead of starting from scratch, that would be so damn annoying ugh.

I never saw planning as being all that useful. I'm just gonna flip through the presets, pick one more-or-less at random, and then hack away at the sliders for a few minutes until I get something that looks OK.
I design the personality first, and the appearance second.
I need to plan.
