The gameplay and graphics I am not at all concerned about in the least, I mean its Bioware, but after ME3 I am not going to be negative but I am going to be very cautions of this new title. I am not worried about having stuff spoiled if I am going to spend my time and money on another ME game after what happened with ME3 I am going to make sure its worth it. Trailers and screenshots are great and all, they are meant to grab your attention, but lets look at the big picture here.

What about you guys?

Pre-order. Mac isn't going to give us Red, Blue, and Green a second time.

I prefer to experience playing a game firsthand. The fun factor isn't there just watching someone else have fun playing the game to see if I might have fun playing the game for myself.

At least not for me.

I think this game was dead on conception. Promoting Mac Walters as the leader writer was a death sentence. You can thank him for the beginning earth part of ME3 and the ending. Why they promoted him instead of firing or at least demoting him is beyond me. This game will pay the price though.

ME3 and DA2 were my favorite games in each series, so I don't really see a scenario where I lose.

I like spoilers as much as the next person, but...

No. No, I will not be watching everything before I play the game. And I'll probably be buying it. Heck, I'll probably preorder. The least fun Bioware game I've played is still more my jam than 90% of the stuff on the market.

This strikes me as a really self-defeating way to play.

This sounds considerably un-fun. You can count me out. I'm probably just gonna preorder it, because the only thing that's really going to prevent me from buying it is my own death or the final cataclysm, so whatevs. I can't waste precious gaming time sifting through hours of YouTube vids.

Studies show that the actual normally people who know the spoilers get as much satisfaction as those who don't, so this is a valid approach. There are two exceptions though, one is where the entire premise is based on spoilers, a la, the Sixth Sense, and stuff with cross-culturally genre terrible endings, where my mother and dudes at a bar can both joke about how horrible the ending was, a la ME3. As far as I'm concerned waiting is an ok thing to do, unless you are invested in a game and it's ending was so awful that it literally transcends gaming and moves to pop culture like ME3's did. The Assassins's 3 ending was actually way worse, but since it never was was story based to begin it, it wasn't a wide known epic failure outside of the gaming community.

I just remember courting Josephine, onyl to find out she has the most g-rated love story ever. I then made a female Inquisitor just to court Sera, I thought the romance ended at the roof, but apparently there was a topless nude scene that I missed. If you enjoy pixelated sex, you are better off with the Witcher series.

I'm just going to read or watch reviews from angry nerds and base my purchase on their opinions. They are the caesars of the gaming world with the power of the up or down thumb in this new exciting age of the internet judgements.

Also, my husband and I have a system. He buys everything else, I buy the Bioware games.

...I'll probably buy XCOM2 for my PC, though...

Maybe BioWare will go back to just blue and red color swaps like in ME2.

Honestly, as long as the MP doesn't suck I'll easily get my money's worth out ME:A.

I think I'm more concerned about that being bad than anything.

If i'd youtube everything before i play it, i could as well watch a movie.

I don't got a TV since 10 years anymore because i consinder my life as too short too watch other people live theirs.

I will buy it and take the risk to have bought crap for the chance to experience a good time in a virtual world.

If i would not able or willing anymore to take risks in my life for the sake of joy, i would

consider me already dead.

Gonna pre-order it and take 1 or 2 weeks vacation from the release day on :)

And also trying to stay away from the forums to avoid spoilers. Let's see how that goes!

Just be wary of any date being possibly being pushed back.  I can't tell you how many times I've seen folks schedule time off in anticipation of a game's release only to have the release date moved to a later date.  inquisition was supposed to come out last October, but it was given a 6 week extension and ended up coming out in mid-November.  I'm not sure how far in advance your job will let you schedule vacation time, but it's something to bare in mind.   :)

Might as well contribute to the actual topic:  I'm not going to spoil myself that much.  I refuse to, because it wouldn't leave much left for me to discover once the game comes out.  I'm going to hover around the non-spoiler forums for ME:A (which there will be eventually) and check out reviews.  I doubt I'll pre-order.  It isn't anything against ME or even BioWare, but I very rarely buy games within the first month or so of release.  It gives the patch cycle some time to get bug fixes and other such necessities out.  They will get my money, but as with the DA DLC, it'll probably be a little later than sooner.
