<connecting... lurking mode disengaged>

Just be wary of any date being possibly being pushed back.  I can't tell you how many times I've seen folks schedule time off in anticipation of a game's release only to have the release date moved to a later date.  inquisition was supposed to come out last October, but it was given a 6 week extension and ended up coming out in mid-November.  I'm not sure how far in advance your job will let you schedule vacation time, but it's something to bare in mind.   :)

Guess what I had to do with DA:I

But my job is pretty flexible in this case (working in a team of 5 people and only 2 or 3 always need to be there at the same time), and I just cancelled the old vacation days and got the new ones, always hoping DA:I wouldn't be pushed back even more ^_^

Pre-order. Mac isn't going to give us Red, Blue, and Green a second time.

no it will be 1 2 and 3 but I hope we wont get a similar ending this time :/

I think this game was dead on conception. Promoting Mac Walters as the leader writer was a death sentence. You can thank him for the beginning earth part of ME3 and the ending. Why they promoted him instead of firing or at least demoting him is beyond me. This game will pay the price though.

Chris Schlerf is the Lead Writer.

After experiencing release of DAI and how Bioware treated and still treats old gen console folks I'm not really expecting much from Bioware since release. I'm expecting tons of bugs and problems so I won't pre-order the game, there is just no point give Bioware that vote of trust. Also I'd rather buy the game used and not give BW any money with it, but I don't probaply want to wait so long so I'll get it new anyways.

I don't really have problem with ME3 stuff, since it's problem in writing last 5 minutes of game for me and very small problem in comparison to DAI fuckery so that doesn't affect me. I still trust Bioware in writing the game. I just don't trust them to care about players, support players nor make game that isn't very buggy.

Maybe BioWare will go back to just blue and red color swaps like in ME2.

Maybe they should... since children usually don't like greens...

Then what of the game would be left to play? Just shooting things repeatedly in front of different backdrops?w

Not going to youtube it, but I will wait spoilers from friends and the net. Not going to buy anymore a ME at day one. No more years of waiting and many runs just to have horribles endings on top of doomed romances.
I was too burned last time.

I'm all for being a cautious consumer, but this seems like kind of an overreaction.

I'll pre-order, cause I loved ME3 and never understood the bitching about it

I'm still pre-ordering. For me, the worst thing that happened to this series was the first minutes of ME2, I'm ok with post-extended cut endings because I like to headcanon stuff and the new High EMS Destroy allowed that, so no complains from me.

But I guess the only reason I'm still with the franchise after ME2 is because it was the last of the series I played. If I had played it in order and saw that goddamn abomination in the beginning I would surely would want my money back. But wen I played, I was already in love with the series and the characters. I was completely baffled by the scene, but I kept going anyway.

So I will pre-order, but it's the last chance I give to them, if ME:A have some idiotic plot decisions like making my char fall into the atmosphere of a planet like an asteroid with ZERO protection just to revive him later, I'm abandoning the franchise.

Exactly, but Mac Walters is the Creative Director! Evil Incarnate! Just kidding, i like that dude. I will be buying the game day 1, like i did with DA:I.

If the MP looks good I'll probably buy in on release to be in at the beginning on that... otherwise it can maybe wait for an Origin sale or until I've completed some of my ridiculous backlog of games on Steam that I've still yet to play... which could easily take until 2017 I reckon :)

Especially since there's XCOM2 and Total War: Warhammer on the horizon as well.

....I don't believe in impulse buying... and if I need fictional romance, I read smutty novels with bodice ripper covers.

Hah. Impulse buying is what keeps Amazon.com alive.

Exactly, and without impluse Amazon buying, I wouldn't be typing this now since that's how I got both ME3 and DA2.

What about me?  I think you're lost and this is a forum for video games.

+1

A number of fans are more interested in some half-baked datesim and power fantasy than playing a TPS w/ casting and rpg elements game for some odd reason. That the "romances" consist of very little content in the time it takes to complete the game and aren't even, you know, actually good doesn't seem to dissuade them either.

I'm probably going to hold off on pre-ordering, but only for a few weeks, as it seems the Industry Standard for PC games nowadays is to release a buggy POS and gradually patch it as the complaints come rolling in.  Bioware's not the worst or most prevalent example here, but it's still not enjoyable to get a new game only to find out half of it doesn't work as advertised.

Umh am i the only one expecting that ME:A's ending will be a cliffhanger? Thought they're going for a new trilogy, quadrilogy, whateverology.

ME 1 and 2 had no actual "endings" so to speak. And i wouldn't expect something more than these in ME:A if it'll go series.

OP i'll buy it in due time, not sure about pre-order or not but i'll surely keep myself spoiler free.

@OP: This to me sounds like a "I hate this game already" kind of thread. Spoil yourself if you like, but honestly the way I see it if you already know everything about the game beforehand - especially the ending - then what point is there in even playing the game, let alone buying it? Also, if you youtubed everything before buying the game then all you're doing is wasting time and money anyway. You might as well just stick to watching other people play it.

If that's what you wanna do, go for it.

I recommend just getting opinions from the forums though. That way, you get a response away from the likes of IGN and the like, but also get to be surprised.

I'm not going to YT them, but I will look up what's possibly available. Still pre-ordering it though. What's the point of buying when you've basically just sucked out all of the fun and spoiled yourself?

You'd better read the final chapter of every book before you leave the bookstore too. I'd hate for you to accidently risk being disappointed by something.

As for me, the journey is more important than the destination. I had a wonderful time through all three games, and a bad 15 minutes at the end takes nothing away from that for me.
