Ive tried NM about ten times... and the one thing I've found, is that it's doable...even without a lot of promotions... until the first person goes down... then it just seems impossible to get your footing again. I've been to wave 4 five times, but still haven't fought the dragon yet.
How many hakkon weapons do you have?

I have the 1h sword. It's amazingly good. I really want the 2h because my best weapons for 2h warriors are Call of the Dark and Dragon Greatsword. I could use an upgrade there because I really like to play 2h warriors.
Played a bunch of nightmare pug last night but never got any further than 3/5.

Scored my first Hakkon weapon today, Hakkon's Honor (1h sword), on my second complete run. I was pretty excited, as I've really taken a liking to playing the Lego & Templar. Now if I can only find a decent shield...

I did around 50 nm runs and got 3 hakkon weapons. My stats are below 30 but I play as a tank and have a good team.

Finding competent public team for the Nightmare is almost impossible task and to solo hour plus games with Lego is simply not worth it.

Clearly, they need to take a page out of Dark Souls and let players cut off the dragon's tail for a Hakkon weapon.

After only 4 more runs on FC NM (now 31 all in all) I've got the HAKKON DAGGER, which I wanted so bad! Oh thanks great, mighty.... ahh whatever! I'm just happy as ****!
Got 3 (bow, 2hand sword, dagger) only 2 to go, which I actually don't want at all. Got the best 3, no need for the rest. ^^

Note sure how many NM runs Ive done maybe 12-14 ..have Staff , dagger and 2h so far.. my promotions aren't high enough to get the most out of Hakkon weapons yet but these late evening NM sessions are good fun when you got quality players to team up with..

You know I had such good gut feelings about the run yesterday, until I, like an idiot did as you suggested and bailed out thinking "It's cool, they'll hold off killing the drag for like 38 seconds" 
I appreciate your advice probably didn't apply to when we were attacking the drag at 10%, but you know how it is!

Yeah I meant on zones 1-4 
.....never bail on wave 5 unless we are on the mic to quickly let everyone know
