Depends what Conal meant by "..long after the events..".

 

If Liara is in the game, I expect her to play a Matriarchal role or possibly in an admiral capacity or even as a scientific advisor. Which means that "current events" are anywhere between 500-900 years after the Milky Way galaxy conflagration. Which also means she is a convenient "access point" for historical information. Perfect fit as a bridge between the new and old.

 

On the other hand that last "tell me more about the Shepard.." scene strongly suggests the current story is millennia into the future.

I can't imagine Liara or anyone from the ME3 squad showing up if they want to keep it disconnected from Shepard's choices in the trilogy. If Liara shows up, she either will or will not have the green haptic interfaces from Synthesis.

I already  have had enough of her being in everything, taking the limelight from characters I actually enjoy. She would have been  more tolerable if her VA hadn't tried to make her sound mystical and instead make her sound monotonous.

OP just no....and these words come from an hardcore Liara fan in the original trilogy. I loved her, romanced her, stayed faithful to her BUT she means something to me if I play as Shepard. MEA will be a new game so it's time for a new Asari to shine and hopefully be as good if not better than Liara.

My point is that Liara is Shepard love so I doubt she would leave Shepard behind to go to Andromeda. It's better to leave to our imagination how it ended. I want a new cool asari to romance with the new protagonist.

Asari are the stereotypical blue Alien Chicks that have some Bullshit Explanation why they would want to **** other Species, their Mind Meld Thing gets only a Handwave is mostly there to drive plot in ME1 and the Fact that they somehow have humanlike sexual Organs isn't even explained. They even have mostly "lesbian" Relationships (as a one-gendered Race a given), which I can't completely watch untainted because it's too easy to interpret it as basic Fanservice Fuel. And what's worst is, that they're supposed to be the most wise and advanced Species? Get out. Mass Effect deserves better than the Asari.

 

Mind you, I'm totally fine with Liara as an Individual. I still would not want to see her in Andromeda. New Start, yadda, yadda, yadda. You know the Drill.

I didn't even suggest anything. Besides having as few Asari as possible in ME:A. But that's one Suggestion. Not more.
