I'd like the protagonist to have a Bristolian/West Country accent. Something a bit differen there for a sci-fi game that'd be..

Bill Bailey for the male protagonist :D

... or one of the Wurzels ...

Oi've got a brand new combine laser-gun and oi'll give ye a blast!

I'd actually like to be able to play a protagonist that has a very strong accent. I wouldn't mind having Alex Mendoza/Rebecca Sanabria from Saints Row voicing a Latino-American accent for the Pathfinder even though that would probably never happen :( , even as an option.

*Agrees that Corrine Kempa for a French female Pathfinder would be awesome! Allegra Clark for an Italian/Spanish female Pathfinder would also work for me.

Other accents I'd like to see:

-New York (especially Brooklyn)- this could actually be implemented since it's 'neutral' as far as ethnicity goes

-Southern Texas Drawl- the western music in the intro? Would be kind of cool to have a 'wild west' Pathfinder, fits the whole pioneering theme

If there had to be a British/American accent, I'd say go with Jennifer Hale, Alix Winton Reagan or Sumalee Montano for female (Jennifer Hale is my favorite voice actress and the other two are exceptionally good in my opinion). Male I'm still up in the air on since I wasn't too crazy about Mark Meer and I haven't seen a voice actor I've been 'wowed' by to the extent that he is a must. Troy Baker seems to be a 'go-to' option for many (and he is pretty good). Jon Curry (American accent Inquisitor) wasn't too bad either.

Edit- Almost clean forgot about Claudia Black. Her voicing the Pathfinder in Morrigan's voice? That would be bad*ss. Especially as a renegade.

Kinda hard to imagine that character supposed to represent me or my avatar when we have different accents personally. American accent is some sort of neutral ground since it's more of a norm and almost every character in the game speak the same way, so it doesn't seem out of place. British would be ok, but it would still be out of place for me to role play as them. Nothing wrong with any accent, but I just can't personally feel detach from the character and the overall role playing experience.

I'd like to see Bioware have another go at a Scottish accent partly  to compensate for the mangling of the accent with the Ken Donnelly VA in the last trilogy.

Gideon Emery previously worked with Bioware (various in DA:O, Fenris in DA2) and he wasn't entirely terrible as Fergus Reid in Wolfenstein: The New Order.  He'd also be a good choice.

He is a pretty busy guy though, and I can imagine since he has some actual versitility he'd be in strong demand.

Im soo sick of British accents, how about a French, Aussie or Russian accent instead?

What accents?.... I think you mean British accent... not accents as the only one that features in most Bioware(and in games in general) games is the stereotypical, upper clash posh, bland, neutral south east english accent(i know these games are made with an american audience in mind first perhaps that explains it, as its the only one they understand/recognisable/go too brit/more so english accent for them. That & cockney). Most people in Britain do not sound like that. I credit the Witcher 3 for having so many different properly Brittish regional accents in the game not just sticking with the typical one. If ME:A are going to have Brit accents i'd like to see them spice it up like TW3 did. That'd stop it getting stale on that front.

Pacific Islander type accent would be pretty neat imo. Im up for anything really. I just wanna hear more than the usual, typical accents we always get. Lets have some diversity & variety. As long as its done well it couldn't hurt i think.

I vote Manu Bennett to voice the male protagonist.

In not really related News, we definitely need someone with a german Accent.

Did I really have to be specific? Fine, any accent from England

Yes I liked that voice a lot I could hear it without thinking of another character thankfully. It felt much better on my ears than the American Voice did for me. I'm not sure why but the american voice felt more flat to me than the british one. Might be because I used the british voice first and got used to it then was thrown off with the american one after hearing the britsh voice for so long.

Yeah I liked Alix's voice too. She has a vrey caring sounding voice it least it sounds that way to me. Given that's the way my 3 inquisitor's I've played so far were was the main reason why I used her voice on them. Am planning a different route next time given I'll be playing a male inquisitor instead of female as I've not done a male run yet of the game.

ya liked Traynor voice? lol Thats all i could hear..Traynor......

Loved the american voice better .

Traynor's voice is perfect for me, nothing against hale but i just looked Traynors actor
i wouldnt mind an accent but its something bioware would have to be careful with. Some people just can't understand accents unless they're subtle and you can't drive away loads of customers.plus it would probably sound ridiculous in some cases, if i played a whole game with Javics for instance it would drive me mad with laughter

What do you mean "with an accent"? How can you have a character WITHOUT an accent? Shepard had an accent... As did every other Mass Effect character.

A Finnish accent would be awesome. They'd never do it, but I wish they would.

Everyone has an accent. I can't even picture what a lack of accent sounds like. A robot like Legion, maybe?

I'd quite like a couple of different voice options, like DAI had though. My personal preference would be an American option for each gender (Troy Baker and Laura Bailey would be so good). Then an Australian female (Claudia Black)... and I have no idea for the other male accent. Maybe English? Or Scottish? Could push the boat out a little more and have Spanish, German, Japanese, who knows.

She was voiced by Sumalee Montano! I freakin' love her voice, even as fake French.

Sumalee Montano did the southern belle accent.

The French accent was Diane Michelle.

To us americans, everyone else has accents but we don't lol, but obviously that's not the case.

I'm in favour of this, as long as it's a genuine accent. I hate it when games, movies, shows, etc have people with fake accents.

most Americans don't have accents (or so we like to believe) besides the Southern bible belt, Cali valley girls, and paisans from NYC.

Americans most certainly do have accents. We mispronounce many words. We're sloppy with the double tt in the middle of words and pronounce them as Ds. Example: letter is pronounced ledder in American. And other words like route. In American the ou in the word is pronounced like ow making it rowt. In English and Australian it's pronounced root.

There's all sorts of regional accents in America. Even up in Minnesota and in parts of Washington you betcha.

And remember if it will be UK or Aussie, it's zed, not zero.

Yeah same here if Alix isn't doing the protagonist for Andromeda then I hope she's brought on to play whoever the science/nred member of the group is as I think her voice suits those sorts of roles well. Based on her work as the Inquisitor and of course as Traynor as well.

Wait, we had accentless protagonists before?

Everybody has an accent, for crying out loud. If you're American, your accent is American. If you're British, it's British. Canadian? Canadian accent. Jamaican? Jamaican Accent. Australian? Australian accent.

I would like the main character to have a non anglo-saxon accent. A French or Spanish accent could be cool, or one from one of the nordic countries?
