why? do you have a problem with homosexual people?

And to answer my own question, people like the above are the reason we are still talking about it. "You don't like X? Why are you bigoted against gays? If you weren't a bigot you'd like X."

this is the only reason i see why someone could find this picture disrespectful. maybe because the original doesnt mean anything to me.

Why is it that people try to argue by trying to twist semantics and linking pictures from art depicting events from a religious scripture?

If you really wanted to confront - because you haven't denied the reason of my arguments - you could have answered to my pm. You chose instead to ask a moderator to tell me not to pm you anymore (despite the existing ignore list), and preferred complaining in public saying you're ignoring me and my messages. This is hardly mature and it's more dictated by incomprehensible rage.

This might be the most recreated and parodied image of the modern political world.

/snip

So while offense is understandable, it seems a little selective if it's targeted exclusively at this example.

Eh I dunno about that, let's not get

carried away here.

Huh, I could have sworn the mass production Eva units were produced in the US.

Well, it has been over 10 years.

Looks like I'm wrong.

MP Evas were built all over the world from Germany to China. This fits better given how Seele controls the world through the UN.

I'm micro-offended that you underestimated the amount of feet on my mutant male chicken. One day I will produce the perfect bird that is the bone of my drumstick... unlimited chicken leg works.

I didn't ask any moderator. I had merely reported the obvious religious-themed flamebait.

And I did adress your point about it not being prejudice. The other points you tried to make about positive and negative prejudice were unintelligible blabbering. I don't know whether that came from your arguments just being plain nonsense, or just you not having been able to accurate explain your line-of-thought in text, which I did mention in my earlier post. But if you need a reminder:

Also, not all prejudices are negative, in fact a lot of positive prejudices are accountable on homosexuality, because even people aren't enough morally educated, or they just ignore the facts around it.

Then, there is people without prejudice who condemn the homosexual behaviour (i.e. "actual sex") and people without prejudice that still approve it for their own wrong reasons.

You're still free to try and elaborate what exactly you meant if you can and want to. Because the first paragraph is an incomprehesible mess, both in grammatical structure and whichever argument you thought to deliver being warped by it ... and the second paragraph is merely a factual statement without a point, like saying two and two equals four, without any notion as to why that would be relevant (probably tied with the first paragraph, but since that one made no sense ...).

Why you made this a PM instead of simply adressing my point in here is another question and most likely due to you having known that religiously fueled argumentation isn't exactly favourable, which begs the question as to why you thought it would be any more suitable if used via PM.

Now, if YOU want to refine any of your arguments to the point that someone that isn't reading your mind can actually process them, feel free. But if all you can do is blabber around incoherently and then claim I didn't confront your arguments (which I did if you cared to read my previous post, it's just that you didn't make a lot of sense I could reason with) after going on about what seemed like your everyday religiously fueled ignorance, thinly veiled in an attempt of semantic sophistication ... then good night.

It's just another part of the never ending "LOOK AT ME" campaign by gay activist types who can't stand not being in the spotlight. They're probably worried people will stop caring now that they can't keep complaining about not having gay marriage.

Actually, the image in question was taken over 10 years ago way before the gay marriage ruling.  It's just been replastered around the interwebz now because of the SCOTUS ruling.  And why did it resurface?  Because a Marine vet posted it while pretending to be Jennifer Aniston on Facebook, condemning the picture for being taken.  True story.  A Marine posted it 10 years after it was taken and pretended to be Jennifer Aniston to critique it........

Click Manage Ignore prefs

should bring you to something like this below, add in users by typing their name and click them to be precise. I would have shown my entire ignore list but no one wants to see that big long list. Enjoy your sanity barrier!

Sanity barrier, HAH!

Schmuckbait is what it is. Those white partitions in the thread that are just daring you to read it. You know you've ignored a user specifically because they annoy you with whichever it was that caused you to ignore them, but at the same time the white is just piercing right into your consciousness like "you know you want to, maybe he finally wrote something sensible" and then you click on it and *BAMM* "hah, you thought this would be any different from before you ignored him? FOOL!!!".

I only ever block signatures or PMs, everything else is just killing my cat.

I know, right?  I have very, very few people on ignore (mostly because I'm not in favor of it unless the person is really belligerent or hostile; simply having a difference of opinion, even if I think you are a douche, isn't enough for me to ignore you), but even those that I have ignored usually get a look on my end.  How can I not?  When that "click here to read their message" invitation seems so inviting......

Well it's like half the gays behave like girls... and you can see girls fighting in wars is a minority even in 21th century. So... they would less likely join the war.

My grandfather is about to turn 100 in September.

He was a sniper in WWII.

He told me a story once about this kind man who would hand out cookies to his fellows, while doing his duties. All his descriptions of him all but directly said "This man was gay and (even in my grandfather's view) a more virtuous man than there ever should be on a battlefield."

The kind, very likely gay man was shot in front of my grandfather.

Nearly erased from society, save for the memories of his fellow vets.

And yet it would have been just as tasteless then as now, but Facebook was crafted for tasteless fools I suppose. Am I supposed to know who Jennifer Aniston is? The name doesn't ring any bells.
