A good guy, with good intentions is the best kind of villain. And what they do should make sense, so much sense that you might even agree with them or be friends in another life.

I like villains who the main character could of easily been if they made slightly different choices.

What I hate are villains who doubt themselves, or side with the hero at the end. They need to stick with their convictions.

Also the cliché, moustache twirling villains bore me.

Someone from your squad who still considers you a friend even after he turned on you.

"War is no reason to end a friendship."

Ideal villian?

A villain that's not long-winded. Like Tuco says in The Good, The Bad and The ugly, When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk

Ideally, I would like two or three grander Villains, who we could play against each other, partnering with one or the other and in the End, we should be given the Option to prove to them that the greatest Villain of them all is... us.

Like in KotoR, the ultimate dark Side Path. "No, Bastila, I'm not gong to Team Up with you." "Why?" Because I'm Eviler than thou." I loved that. I still love it. I want a Villain, whom I can outdo in Evilness. Whom I can replace as the ultimate Evil.

So yeah, that's my two Wishes.

So.. Why do we have to fight this guy in that game?

I agree with every word he says :D

Would vote, 10/10.

By the way, I absolutely love how this cutscene is directed. How it's actually a debate, where the battle turns in favor of the one, who is making the arguments at that point.

A reaper :)
No but seriously something that feels threatening, they may not even be a villian per say if the actual story is what was leaked and we are just looking for a habitable planet

If leak is true, there should be some general of anti-MW forces.

A psychopath. Cunning, manipulative, deceptive and imposing. A being that can both terrify and inspire his/her followers. An actual presence in and out of the battlefield

Someone who doesn't just roll over after his goons get trashed left and right like the "big bad" in DA:I

I want a villain who is sympathetic. Such that we can understand and ideally identify with his motives.

There are a lot of ways to create a great villain, I'm not sure what I want.

So I'll say I'd like a competitor, someone what my squadmates could leave to serve them instead of me. Now that would create some cool scenarios.

How about no single villain at all? How about we go up against an entire faction and there is no single leader in charge of them?

I don't know. It's exploring a new galaxy, we come across races that will hopefully be more different than "they're blue" or "they look bird/frog/lizard-like". I guess I'd just want to see a bit more "alien" aliens doing their thing, some of which just happens to be at cross-purposes with us.

If ME2 is any indication, some people will say that there is no plot.

I agree. I want to fight and kill a horde of identical, soulless, hive minded software robots. I think I've done it once before somewhere and it was excellent fun. I even picked up a broken one just to throw it out of an airlock about halfway through the series, if I remember correctly.

Villians who are 'good guy' with 'good intentions' are almost universally characters who take really, really stupid actions to try solve problems.

A villain like Pagan Min. Where it ACTUALLY gives you a choice in the end of the game. What a twist.

Someone less powerful than the Reapers but still powerful enough to create a mess if left uncontrolled.

I like grey characters with their own motives and agenda, not evil per-se but evil in the sense the simply have different goals than us so conflict is inevitable. The villain should be clever, manipulative and rational.

Well Aria was cool but the Omega DLC made her a badass character.....with a soft side...so....I actually liked Petrovsky. A man of honor, a strategist and a clever guy.

That'd make me fall in love with the villain lmao. But yes. (though Aria wasn't exactly a villain because she wasn't stopping you, but supporting you instead)

Also i'd really like a female villain this time. A cunning villain who isn't actually a villain in the end because of some nice twist, would be great.

I'm too tired of the same old trope.

Yeah. Man, the FC4 ending fucked me up.
