I love dragon age 1, 2 and inquisition, I've brought every single player content that's ever came out, even doing webpage stuff to unlock extra content, however there's one piece of single player content the 'Dragon Prop Set' that I cannot access unless I do Multiplayer and I refuse to do MP, but I really really want that set, please make it available to those like us who don't want to do Multiplayer, it's unfair locking it behind MP, and you guys promised you wouldn't do that with this game. I know it's just 'Cosmetics' as Mike Laidlaw described it in a twitter response, but it's cosmetics that I really want in my skyhold, and feel it's unfair that your locking it away from me like this. At least promise it'll be available to us single only players at a later date (ideally sooner rather than later).

Sounds like an excuse to me. They don;t want to do it simple as that.

The way it was setup was at the end of an MP match it would write an entitlement to your account that you killed the dragon, then when the game launched it would check to see if you had that entitlement and if it did it would make it available.

This is how it works

And could that entitlement not be attached also to, say killing one or more high Dragons in SP?  Or the Wyrmslayer or Dragonsbane achievements?  Or the "Celebrate the Dragonslaying" or one of the other dragon-based war table missions?

Or even adding a new dragon into the game with that entitlement.

No the entitlement is tied to systems that only exist in MP

Also given that the entitlement is written to your online account, what happens when you are playing offline?

Then surely the solution would be to provide an alternative method of writing that entitlement to our accounts, maybe like something similar to what was done with some of the unlockable bonus items like the Quest For Red Lyrium Reapers, so that we don't have to do multiplayer to get them. I just want to get every single player content I can get, since I love the game and want to enjoy every single element of it, and feel penalised for the way I prefer to play the game, is why I'm hoping beyond hope that they can find a solution.

However telling us that it's too complicated to implement when as you say all it requires is just writing data to our account, seems a bit strange to me, maybe what's complicated is how they do that writing to the data, since if it was unlockable by killing dragons in SP, not everyone is connected to the internet when they play, so no way of writing the data if that's the case I understand, but still surely they can provide a web based route to getting it?

I simply cant say, as far as I know there exists different types of entitlements, and this may very well be one of those cases where writing from the game is different from that of a webservice.

Ugh, this is why people hate always online DRM.    :(

Heck what happens when the servers eventually get sunsetted?

It is not DRM, it is entitlements we need some way to say you did something. MP does not write local data, because that would be highly insecure. So where do you put it? On a server and a server requires people to be online at least once.

I am sure we will have a plan for that when the time comes, but look at DAO, 6 years later and the servers still exist.
