There's a difference between MP shy and not wishing to do MP, we all prefer different ways of playing games and all of them should be respected by game developers, also what about those who can't access MP either due to requiring monthly subscription like Xbox 360, or those with poor internet connection, they also shouldn't be left out, out of no fault of their own.

I didn't notice a lot of respect for those of us who don't like playing assassins creed and hunting feathers, error I mean shards but life isn't always fair.

I really wish they'd just tell all the MP-phobic types to just learn to cope. MP players are potentially more lucrative customers and should get better rewards than the SP types. The wall they built was too high. I'd be much happier if I could MP my way to shards instead of playing hide and seek with the darn things.

Yeah, silly us to expect that when they said No SP content would be hidden behind MP play, they'd actually MEAN that.   <_<

You don't have to pay a subscription to have the possibility to collect shards. And you are not forced to play with others to collect them either.

Again, your preference to not play MP means nothing. I don't care anymore than you seem to care about my disdain for shard hunting, lousy horse riding, lame exploration and a host of other things. They are not making a game for you or for me or for any one individual. There will be things in any significantly large game you don't like about it and some of those things might block access to skills, immunities, items or hall decorations but nothing here stops you from playing and completing the game.

Seriously, give it a rest. We all know how you feel, you have said the same thing in like 200 posts already.

Also...

They actually didn't say no SP "content" locked behind MP, from what I remember, they said that SP game endings and what not would not ever be affected by or be required for an ending or state after ME3. If you think they said otherwise, come up with some citations.

When you've played through the game enough times already, it becomes less of trying to complete the game and more about enjoying as many of the experiences and visuals in the game as you can, meaning I'll want to spend as much time enjoying skyhold as I can rather than rushing through the game, and if that means wanting to enjoy the beautiful dragon scenery dotted around the throne room with this content pack then why should I be denied that right based on my gaming preference?

However I've done what I've set out to do by making the developers aware that Single Only Players wish to have this content too, the balls now in their court and if they release it for everyone in the future great, if not then at least I've tried, all I can say is those who have it enjoy it maybe name one of those dragons after me, I'd be so proud heh, so unless one of the developers I've contacted responds to me I doubt I'll be saying anything else on this matter.

Those are still elements you don't have to pay extra to use. Doing or not doing those things are completely your choice. But many don't want/have the wealth to spend extra money for a feature (PSplus/XboxGold necessary to play MP) that was promised it would not be forced on the players to unlock SP content.

If killing dragons in MP would unlock gear for MP, I would have cared less. Is all MP stuff (even if MP had much more attention than anything else from BioWare lately) but it unlock SP stuff. And is not right, expecially when playng MP is locked under paymant for 2 over 3 of the platforms (I don't know if PS3/Xbox360 can't or not have it)

You know, for the record, your choice to play the game on a platform that requires premium access fees is not BioWares or the rest of the worlds problem. BioWare does not make a single fraction of a penny from said fees, why do they need to concern themselves with it, at all? You need to be directing all the vitriol toward your console maker, not the game company putting extra things in free patches.

Edit because phone cancelled all

It should interest bioware instead. All the People who don't play mp are Money they don't get.
And console players are many. IS the only motivation there are so many AAA games, after all.

And I buyed a single player game. I should be able to anjoy all the single player Content with mo need to of mp.

And this is where current gen xbox/ps players who don't play online are getting burned. I'm sure there's more than a handful who don't pay for online because they don't use it. SP should have the option for the prop set through sp means. Just one bad "business" decision after another.

And the game you originally purchased didn't have anything at all that tied MP to SP other than automatic MP Agents populating Skyhold.  The game you purchased a license for still exists in Version 1.0, anything after that was a free patch that you didn't have to install. So really, you and a handful of other people are pitching a fit over something extra in a patch that nobody has to use or pay for. If that doesn't scream entitlement, I don't know what will.

Honestly, I don't quite care for DAIMP that much, but it didn't take a lot of effort to get into a FC Dragon round and get the unlock. Maybe if you spent as much energy into actually unlocking it as you have complaining about it, you would have had it unlocked quite a while ago.

I love dragon age 1, 2 and inquisition, I've brought every single player content that's ever came out, even doing webpage stuff to unlock extra content, however there's one piece of single player content the 'Dragon Prop Set' that I cannot access unless I do Multiplayer and I refuse to do MP, but I really really want that set, please make it available to those like us who don't want to do Multiplayer, it's unfair locking it behind MP, and you guys promised you wouldn't do that with this game. I know it's just 'Cosmetics' as Mike Laidlaw described it in a twitter response, but it's cosmetics that I really want in my skyhold, and feel it's unfair that your locking it away from me like this. At least promise it'll be available to us single only players at a later date (ideally sooner rather than later).

Agreed..also most people buy and play rpgs for the singleplayer expirience. I never, ever touched the multiplayer modes. Not in Mass Effect ,not in DA or any other rpg.I could never understand the logic behind the devs other than selling more copies.
The effort, time and money they put into a mediocre multiplayer mode in a rpg could be spend on story, singleplayer content.
If i want a multiplayer game i would play a shooter or mmo...which i don't.So locking that stuff even cosmetics is a bad thing.

I would love to see it available at a merchant somewhere, or as DLC.  It really is great decor.

Question: Do you accuse PC and current gen console players of "pitching a fit" and "entitlement!!!11!!1eleventy!!" when they whine about how the older consoles were holding back their game play experience? No? Why the double standard? If you don't have anything useful to contribute, perhaps you should stop wasting your time replying to these threads.

Counter question: Does incessant complaining from the same people contribute anything more useful than a rebuttal to said complaints?

I have just as much of a right to present a valid argument as anyone has to complain about something. If you are going to impose some standard of "useful" contribution to anything on this forum, then it's high time it gets shut down permanently. 99% of everything posted can be classified as useless. The term "useful" being completely subjective would also make your argument to my post completely useless, since all you are doing is complaining about what I said. So, double standard? Sounds like you need to practice what you preach and stop wasting your time replying to these posts.

Yes, they did :

==============================================================================================

Mark Darrah ‏@BioMarkDarrah 1m
And no, singleplayer content is NOT locked behind MP.

John Epler ‏@eplerjc
To clarify, playing MP vs. not playing MP will have no impact on your SP experience.

Ability Drain ‏@AbilityDrain

Since the characters work for our Inquisitor, will some of the items we unlock in multiplayer become available in story mode?

Mike Laidlaw ‏@Mike_Laidlaw
No, they're separate modes.

@AarynFlynn @dragonage count for SP so my question is, IS the MP going to have ANY effect on the SP at all?

Aaryn Flynn ‏@AarynFlynn
@user @dragonage No gated content. But we do have some cool ideas for the future, even as we keep the experiences distinct.

=================================================================================

It's not just the ending, it's no CONTENT.  FUll stop.

Just found an option on ps4 to get a 2 day trial of ps+.  If anyone wants to try that route and get the decor.  I think it's crap to have to play multiplayer, but I got the decor and it didn't take long at all.  I never noticed the option. so figured I'd point it out if anyone wanted to look and see if it's an option for them.   :) -goes back to ignoring MP again-

I agree. If I want raid-specific content, I'd go to an MMO(and even then I could acquire this stuff from another player without actually going through the raid).

The bioware defense team is reaall strong with this one.

Considering quite a few copies were sold on platforms that do require plus or whatever it should interest bioware. Especially after abandoning last gen owners and earning a stain on their record.
