Finally got Sony Vegas rendering settings figured out to a point that I can now start uploading mediocre PC footage instead of mediocre Xbox footage.

 

It's been a good long while since I played this guy so I decided to give him a go for my first PC gold solo. A nice, tanky character helps me in those situations. Pretty simple playstyle. Carpet bomb an area with inferno nades, shoot, and carnage for some nice armor damage and fire explosions. I'm still not that great with backpedaling and strafing on PC, so Ravagers were my worst enemy, which is pretty silly.

 

Objectives sucked hard. Devices, targets, and devices. Wave 10 I just got irritated so I took a lot of risks to get the devices. I probably should've been Banshee grabbed two or three times and Brute slammed once. I had tried a solo the day before with this guy with power amp IV instead of cyclonic, but I ended up using all my medigel and got Banshee grabbed running to extraction with 8 seconds to go. Also I didn't seem to notice a tremendous increase in inferno grenade damage with power amp so it was either cyclonic or adrenaline for this run.

The only thing I do different on the Krogan Soldier is that I take rank 4A for extra damage instead of radius (the radius is ok as it is). Then I go only 3 in fitness as he's quit tanky due to Fortification.

 

And I don't use cyclonic on him, I go with a Power amp instead, those grenades are deadly with increased Power damage.

 

The Wraith is an excellent gun on him, not as Krogan matcho as the Claymoar of course, but it's really good on him

About the build, I prefer 4a and 6a for Inferno Grenades, those evos make them really impressive against armor. I consider generally 5m enough for the radius, but especially in a map like White where enemies come into a funnel.

 

I think also that there is too much shield here. With a cyclonic 4, you could let fitness at 3 and take this extra 15% power damage in the passives. Or better, keep the 4/4 split between fitness and krogan berserker and use a power amp 4. But since it was your first solo on PC, I guess that you valued safety first. 

 

Also, how PC feels compared to Xbox ?

Getting used to PC controls, I'm amazing I can body shot a Brute. Just a little correction and I've done a 180. It takes some getting used to. But overall, I do feel like in the long run I'll like PC more once I get used to strafing and backpedaling.  I used to go max damage on inferno grenades, which is what I have on xbox I believe, but I can wipe spawns by throwing a grenade in the general direction and move on. Plus with carnage and incendiary ammo, I'm not hurting for armor damage. But if some is good, more is better so there's nothing wrong with maxing damage. Once I get used to movement better, I probably will drop the cyclonic for power amp.

Getting used to PC controls, I'm amazing I can body shot a Brute. Just a little correction and I've done a 180. It takes some getting used to. 

Some of the hardened soloers on here set their mouse sensitivity surprisingly low, as low as 20 even. The default of 50 is over-sensitive if you have a high DPI mouse.

What I found more disturbing is the lack of headbutts and mrahahaahaaa's. The only melee kills came from scrunching some Husks

 

On a more serious note - you will have to learn to nuke the real threat. And it's not the double banshee.
